Blaze quirked a brow. Andro leaned back on his arms, lounging.
“You need me, long legs? Me and nobody else?”
Andro rolled his eyes. “Suck my dick. You know it. I’m not going to repeat myself.”
Blaze chuckled. He rose to his feet and came to stand behind Andro as he grabbed his forearm, dragging him up to his feet.
“Stretch, lazy pants.”
“Fuck you. Who are you callinglazy? I’m the one who has swimming practice after this. And what are you gonna do?”
“I also have swimming practice,” Blaze shot back, “of sorts.”
“You’re such a whore.”
Blaze turned to the team, clapping his hands. “Get into your positions.”
As the team spread out on the field, everyone taking their stances, Blaze brushed a hand over his hair. “So, what time and where do I need to be?”
A wide smile spread across Andro’s face. “Tonight, after sunset. I’ll pick you up.”
Right after eight o’clock, there was a knock on Blaze’s door.
“Come in.”
The door opened, and Andro walked in, dressed in classic black pants and a matching turtleneck. His shoes were polished to perfection, and the buckle of his black leather belt had not a single scratch, despite the daily wear and tear.
“Since when do you knock?” Blaze asked, crushing the butt of his cigarette in the ashtray.
Andro stuffed his hands in his pockets and looked around.
“Since you started fucking Val, that’s the last thing I want to walk in on.”
Blaze froze midway to his closet, surprised how the Hel Andro knew about that when Blaze was sure he told nobody.
“Who told you?”
Andro walked to his desk, plopping his ass in the chair. “Nobody had to. I have eyes.”
Ah, sure. Mm-hmm, of course.
Blaze grabbed a black ripped T-shirt from his closet and pulled it over his head. Then, he slid into the leather jacket and turned to Andro, spreading his arms.
“How do I look?”
Andro eyed him for a moment, clearly trying to hide a smile. “Like expensive, junkie trash.”
Blaze smirked. “Perfect. Exactly what I was aiming for.”
His friend chuckled, shaking his head.
They left the House, and Andro led them towards the campus. Once they reached the main path, instead of going straight towards the cafeteria, Andro turned left, walking straight through the grass towards the right edge of the campus.
Blaze followed him without question, his hands shoved in his pockets.
Once they crossed half of the field, Blaze realized they were headed towards the Cursed Forest. Blaze stole a glance at Andro, whose face was calm, lips pressed into a tight line.
“Feeling dangerous tonight?”
