Andro glanced at Blaze, a corner of his lips curling. “Always when I’m with you.”

Blaze chuckled.

When they reached the edge of the campus where the Cursed Forest started, someone was already there, waiting for them.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” Blaze asked Rogue, who was leaning on the trunk of a tree.

“He’s here to help,” Andro answered. “You didn’t think I would be going into the forest without some backup?”

Blaze placed a hand over his heart, wounded. “I thoughtIwas your backup.”

Andro rolled his eyes. “You know what I mean. It’s the Cursed Forest we’re entering. Having a demon to watch our backs is smart.”

Of course it was smart.

And Androwasthe smartest of them all.

But Blaze wasn’t going to admit it.

“Pussies,” Blaze said and strode forwards. After a few steps, he stopped, turning back. “Where do we find the blood moss?”

Andro caught up with him. Rogue trailed right after him, hands stuffed in his pockets.

There was a paper in Andro’s hands, and he frowned as he tried to read it in the dark. “We need a Banshee’s blood to soak the moss from the Cursed Forest. There is also an incantation to use but I can’t—”

Blaze cocked a brow. “Fuck, Andro.”

“What? Not feeling up for some Banshee hunting,Blazy?”

“Who doesn’t want to spend a lovely Tuesday night chasing death?”

Andro strolled forwards with his chin held high.

“Do you know how to catch a Banshee?” Blaze asked after a few moments.

The further they went into the forest, the thicker the mist on the ground was, and soon they would lose track of where they came from and where they were going.

It was the way the Cursed Forest worked.

“They should be close to the edge of the Blood Lake,” Andro said, gesturing to their left where the crimson lake was supposed to be. “Let’s go see if we can find them.”

“Don’t we need, like, bait or something?” Blaze asked, following Andro.

He smirked, throwing a glance at Blaze. “That’s why I broughtyouhere.”

Ah, well, that’s just great.

“Thank you, Andro. I’m flattered that you planned on using me as bait without even telling me.”

“I was gonna.”

“When? When the Banshee was already halfway down my throat?”

“Exactly.”

“Bitch.”

Andro bumped his shoulder into Blaze’s.
