Alecto Black was a mystery to him.
Blazewasin trouble.
He knew it the moment he realized he couldn’t break her, no matter what he did.
He wasn’t sure whether she wouldn’t break him though.
Suddenly, Alecto stirred, brushing a hand through the sheets where Blaze lay before, before turning on her back.
As she stretched her muscles, eyes still half-closed and sleepy, she arched her back, her small breasts poking out and stirring up a storm inside him.
When she turned her head to the window and found him sitting there watching her, she went very still.
Surely, all the memories of last night came rushing back to her and were playing in front of her eyes right now.
“Morning,” he said.
Alecto rose to lean her back against his headboard. “Morning.”
Blaze was grateful he had put some distance between them when he woke up because if he was in that bed near her right now, he would make sure they never left.
He almost groaned with the need to have her whole, to sink his teeth again into her flesh as his dick sank into her at the same time.
But he shouldn’t.
Theyshouldn’t.
Blaze cleared his throat, jerking his head towards the pile of clothing as he lit another cigarette. “Your clothes are dry.”
Alecto rose from the bed, letting the sheet slide away from her naked body, and strolled towards the pile.
Blaze almost choked on the smoke.
With tears burning his eyes, Blaze moved the cigarette away from his face, unable to take his eyes from Alecto getting dressed.
Her uniform was back on, and the final reminder of last night was gone.
She should leave. He should tell her to leave.
But what he’d told her last night, the admission of a fraction of his confusing feelings, was true.
When she wasn’t around, everything was so fucking dull.
So, he might as well let himself indulge. Just this once.
He liked pain anyway. So what if it’ll hurt more later?
It was why he said, voice husky, “Come here.”
At first, Alecto stayed by the fireplace, her eyes narrowed at him. But then, she padded over to Blaze, plopping on the windowsill opposite him.
She seemed to share his hesitation, even if it was clear that she craved his company.
Oh, he knew she craved his company.
Blaze extended the pack of cigarettes to her, and she took one, letting him light it.
As they stared at each other, smoking, Blaze waited. Expecting.
