Blaze chuckled at how eager she was. His lips brushed hers, teasing, coaxing, and a gasp escaped her lips as she fisted the front of his shirt in her palm.

It wasn’t for nothing, all this effort.

So, before Blaze dove into her mouth, he tipped his head to the side, finding Alecto standing right where she was before.

As expected, Alecto’s eyes were on him, burning. And Blaze kept her gaze as he lowered his lips, melting with the girl underneath him.

He continued keeping her gaze as he parted the girl’s lips with his tongue, diving deeper, claiming her.

Alecto didn’t look away.

Finally, Blaze turned his gaze from her at the same time as he moved away from the girl.

“It’s been a pleasure,” Blaze said, tipping his head and leaving the girl by the wall alone, panting and probably confusedandelated that Blaze Leveau just graced her with his mouth.

As he walked through the crowd, he once again locked eyes with Alecto.

Blaze was going to make her come to him, groveling and begging for his touch, for his mouth on her again.

Or he might as well drag her out of the party, away from people, and force her to be his, just like she wished.

Somehow, Blaze was sure she wouldn’t beg formercy.

But then Rogue returned to her side.

Alecto’s palm landed on his chest, and then her lips were on his, and Rogue’s hands wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer.

Blaze could barely breathe.

At first, Rogue was hesitant, stiff, as if he wasn’t sure whether he should respond to her kiss or not. But then, his fingers dug into the flesh of her hips as his whole body leaned into her.

It wasn’t the first time Blaze had seen Alecto with another guy.

But somehow, this time, it was different. Something deep inside him was…not quite right. And he had a desperate urge to fix that uncomfortable feeling, get rid of it at any cost.

He should have looked away. Blaze should have turned and walked away, finding something better to do.

But he didn’t.

Hecouldn’t.

Blaze made his way through the crowd, ignoring how roughly he pushed people to the side. He stopped by Alecto and Rogue, their lips still pressed together, and cleared his throat.

After a few more moments, Rogue pushed himself away from Alecto.

His lips were swollen from the kiss, haze glazing his bright amber eyes. “Blaze, good to see you here tonight.”

Blaze didn’t even spare the demon a glance. “Can’t say the same about you. Alecto, I need to have a word with you.”

“I don’t think so,” Alecto replied, straightening her dress.

Without giving her a chance to protest, Blaze yanked her forearm, pulling her into his embrace, and dragged her through the crowd.

The demon shouted something in their wake, but Blaze didn’t give a fuck, and Rogue had enough common sense not to follow them.

Alecto thrashed against his grip, but it was no use. When they reached the tower, further away from the party, only then did Blaze let her go.

When her palm connected with his cheek this time, Blaze was prepared.
