“Oh, don’t tell me—” Blaze said, eyes suddenly wide, lips parted in shock. “Don’t tell me you’veneverhad an orgasm with someone else before.”

Alecto remained silent.

“Oh.” A smile spread across his pretty face, and Alecto had an urge to slap it right off. “Well, that’s what you get for choosing lousy lovers, Black.”

“Yeah, right.” Alecto rolled her eyes. “As if you’re Mister Orgasm Giver yourself. Give me a fucking break.”

“Well, I never leave my ladies unsatisfied,” Blaze said, shrugging. “Don’t believe me, ask around. They’re going to tell you all about it.”

“They already have,” Alecto shot back. “I know all about your skillsorlack of skills, rather.”

“What?”

Alecto could have basked in that surprised, hurt, prideful look on Blaze’s face all day long. She could have sealed it inside a memory orb, always keeping it with her just so she could revel in it anytime she needed to lift her mood.

“Oh, you know what I’m talking about,Blazy,” Alecto teased, smiling. “Your little issue with giving head.”

Blaze frowned, clearly confused and unsatisfied with where this conversation was going.

Fine, if he was going to pretend, Alecto could play this game.

“You don’t go down on girls.”

Blaze looked taken aback by her words as he blinked, lips parted.

“What?”

“I know that you don’t go down on the girls you sleep with. Every girl on campus knows it,” Alecto repeated. “I don’t care how good of a fuck you think you are, that is a red flag in a guy, and you shouldn’t glower about being an amazing lover.”

“So, that’s what you’ve heard about me? And you’re so quick to believe the rumors without even giving me the benefit of the doubt?”

Alecto sucked on her teeth but remained silent, keeping his gaze.

Blaze slid away from the desk, throwing his hands in the air. “Un-fucking-believable. That is some straight-up high-class bullshit.”

“Why did it get you so heated if it’s not true?” Alecto asked, crossing her arms, not able to hold back a satisfied grin that only seemed to enrage Blaze further.

For a long moment, he just stood there, his tongue poking his cheek as he stared at Alecto.

“Oh, I’ve got an idea. How about we find out whether the rumors are true, baby?” Blaze stalked closer.

Alecto wasn’t sure what it was that prompted her to say what she said. Was it the way Blaze’s eyes flickered with something dark and sinister? Was it the adrenaline from seeing him smash a fist through Gabe’s face in defense ofher?

Or was it something else entirely that prompted Alecto to lift her chin and say, “Bring it on, fuck boy.”

Blaze closed the distance between them in a stride, and Alecto took a step backwards, her back colliding with a wall. His hand landed on the wall beside her head, face coming dangerously close to hers.

“Actions do speak louder than words, don’t they?” he drawled, gaze snapping between her eyes and lips. Alecto’s heart skipped a beat, palms getting sweaty, but she refused to stand down.

Alecto didn’t answer.

Blaze dipped lower, dropping to his knees in front of her.

She gasped as his hands gripped her thighs, spreading them apart. For a moment, Alecto wasn’t sure what the fuck was she doing, what she was allowing him to do. It all started to seem like the best and the worst idea ever. “Blaze—”

“Shh,” he murmured, slowly massaging the soft flesh, sending ripples of warmth up to the very center of her. His gaze shot up, meeting hers.

Slowly, Blaze’s fingers traveled higher up her thighs, disappearing behind her pleated skirt. Alecto inhaled a sharp breath when his fingers traced the line where her leg met her hip, skimming the sensitive skin and then finally, sliding over the band of her black lacy panties.
