I covered his hands as they cradled my neck and tilted my lips up to his firm ones. I felt him exhale and his lips instantly devoured mine. His hands ran down my back, pulling me into him. He cocked his head to the side, and our tongues collided in desperation. I couldn’t kiss him deeply or hard enough. I didn’t want to let him go. I felt the power in his embrace, and I wanted that power to fix everything—not the power of a shaman and three wolves who were added to the mix.

I licked along Cole’s upper lip when his kiss released me. His tongue met mine, and gently, we tasted each other’s loving kiss. I moaned and felt my body kick into gear, wanting more. The other vamps were coming to, I could hear it in their voices. Instead of interrupting mine and Cole’s intimate moment, they left us alone and grumbled on about this bullshit situation.

Cole’s lips left mine, and too damn soon. Cole drew me into his side, and we turned to face the guys. “Do me a favor,” Cole zeroed his eyes in on my three sexy and annoyed vampires, “entertain those guys and get more of a feel of that shaman. I need some time with Elle before all this shit goes down.”

Logan’s lips quirked up. “Really?” he sighed, “What the hell do you think you’re going to do?”

“I need to take care of her before things change,” Cole’s said with authority. “It’s what I know she needs.”

Braden walked up to me and kissed me on the forehead, “Love you, Ellie-babe.” He looked at Cole, “Try not to take all day. You’re lucky your ass got this calling, dick,” he clapped his cousin on the shoulder.

“We’ll be back, hopefully without having the blood of any fucking wolves on our hands,” Zac said with a wink.

Logan ran his hand along my jaw. “You’re gonna be just fine, Ellie.”

“Why are we all talking like this is some sort of goodbye?” I asked before my three vampires took one more step toward the door. “I’m not good with this.”

“That’s why you and Cole are going to have some alone time. We know that,” Zac answered. “Relax, Ellie, it’s all good.”

The three walked outside while I was swept up into Cole’s arms and rushed into the master bedroom where I almost killed all four of my guys. Cole had my clothes off before I could question why he set me on the bed and what the heck we were doing back in the room of horrors.

“I hate this room,” I seethed, running my hand through his hair after he pulled his shirt off. I ran my hands along the tight muscles of his olive skin. “I almost killed you guys in here.”

Cole covered my body with his. “All that matters is that we’re all safe now. Do you have any cravings?” He studied my eyes, “You’re so fucking beautiful. Your eyes have a brilliance to them,” he kissed the base of my neck, “and your skin is flawless and glowing. You were irresistible before the transformation, now it’s enhanced.”

I draped a leg over his lower back as he placed soft kisses along my chest. “I don’t want to do this with those wolves, Cole. I want it to be just us again.”

Cole’s eyes met mine. “That’s why I wanted to do this.” His lips grazed over mine, “Before they become part of all of us.”

“Do what?” I asked, still trying to figure out this sexy look on his face. “Fuck me?” I ran my hand over his forehead.

His lips twisted in concentration. “You will always be our girl.” He placed a kiss between my breasts. “I don’t know exactly how this will all go down.” He let out a breath while teasing my left breast by placing soft kisses all around it. My nipple instantly perked up and tightened, begging him to take it, “but our instincts are pulling us toward this solution because it serves to protect you.” He looked at me and situated himself to bring his face over mine. “The wolves will serve and protect you too. Ellie, after you drank from me, you became all of our alpha.”

“What?” I stiffened at what he just said. “You—or that Zane dude, you guys are the ones that seem to call the shots with everyone. Now I’m running the show?”

Cole laughed, “Zane and I are alpha by nature, we’ll always be, but we answer to whatever you want. We serve you, Ellie.” He pinched his lips together and studied me. “You can stop the ritual, but you have to know that this really is the only way.”

“Why though? Why is this the only way?” I sighed.

“Because not even Edgar—the witch who came from the dark magic academy—can fix or reverse this spell. We have to take that bitch down to fix this. All of us.”

“All of us as in—all of us merged and bonded in one united force of freak nature—right?”

Cole half-smiled, “It sounds insane, I know, but after the merge, we’ll all feel better and stronger. Once the bond seals…” he closed his eyes and glanced over at the window and then looked at me. “After that happens, we won’t question whether or not this was the best decision we ever made. We’ll actually wonder how we survived all these years without this power.”

“The bonding,” I eyed Cole’s somber ones, “is it sexual? Like ours was?”

He licked his lips, “It’s you feeding on them. If it gets sexual, then so be it. Will I like it?” he shook his head. “Right now I would rip a wolf’s throat out, but when the blood merge happens, I’m more likely to calm my ass down like I had to do with knowing my cousins were screwing the only girl I ever had feelings for.”

“You’re not going to turn back into dickhead Cole on me again are you?”

Cole chuckled. “No.” He captured my bottom lip between his two, then kissed my chin. “I’m only going to be about whatever my girl—our girl—wants. You’re our queen now, doll. That witch should fear you more than all of us combined when we meet up with her again.”

I rolled my eyes, “Right.”

He took my wrists into his strong hands and buried them into the pillows above my head. “You will feel your power when we do the merge. Right now, I want you to feel nothing but the love the guys and I have for you.”

I let out a breath, feeling heat warming between my legs. I watched Cole’s eyes leave mine and look over at my other hard nipple. He captured it between his teeth, nipping at it, and forcing an excited shiver in my stomach. I widened my legs, not caring that we were holding everyone up. I’d never been with my guys like this. Cole wasn’t drinking from me, and I—the new me—wasn’t craving blood. I felt normal—I felt turned on—and I felt like we were about to screw each other without craving more than just that. Two bodies and souls needing to intertwine and deepen a bond that was already there.
