The three women finish their drinks in a shot-like fashion, all making faces as they place their glasses on the bar top.

Gigi leans toward me. “We’ll be back, prince. And maybe when I get back, you’ll behave.”

Chapter Sixty-Two

Gigi

Audrey, Melonie, and I force our way through the crowd and find a spot on the dancefloor. We have always loved going out dancing. In our single days, we went out a few times a month. With the recent addition of pregnancies and children, we haven’t been out in such a long time, and I miss it.

“Gigi, Marcus hasn’t taken his eyes off you the whole time we’ve been here. He looks like he wants to eat you alive,” Melonie shouts over the music.

“I don’t feel right thinking about him this way, but I can’t imagine him in bed.” Audrey shakes her head as she sways her hips. “I would be scared for my vagina.”

“He’s a beast. That’s all I’ll say about that.”

“I knew it. I’m happy for you.” Melonie laughs.

We dance for a few songs, then decide to head back to the guys. Our hands are linked, Audrey leading, weaving us through the crowd when suddenly, a hand clamps down on my arm. I stop, whip around, and see Lewis standing there.

Melonie feels me slip from her grasp and turns, causing Audrey to turn around, too.

“Get your fucking hand off her, Lewis!” Melonie shouts, her voice sharp.

“Good to see you, too, Melonie,” Lewis says coolly, dismissing her as his eyes land on me. “How’ve you been, Gigi?”

“I’ve been great,” I say, my voice tight. “Now get your filthy fucking hand off me.”

He glances down at his grip, barely loosening it as his fingers slide down to my wrist, lifting my hand. “What’s this?”

“Not that it’s any of your business, but I’m engaged.”

His eyes widen, disbelief flashing across his face. “Engaged?”

I catch a glimpse of Melonie heading toward the bar—shit, she better not be going to get the guys. “Yes, engaged. Now, let go before the guys make it over here.”

“Too late for that, Gigi.” Jax’s voice cuts through the tension behind me.

“Get your goddamn hand off my fiancée,” Marcus growls, his voice a dangerous rumble. Shit, this isn’t good.

Lewis looks between me and Marcus, sneering. “You’re engaged to him?”

“Yes, she is,” Marcus snaps. “Now fucking let her go.”

Lewis releases my hand, his expression turning into something darker. “So, that’s it. All the time you spent with him—you were fucking him, weren’t you?” His face hovers too close to mine.

“No, I wasn’t,” I bite back. “Don’t twist this on me.”

Marcus steps between us, and I feel Jax’s hands on my shoulders, pulling me back toward Melonie and Audrey.

“Say one more fucking word about her. I dare you.”

“Marcus, don’t,” I yell over Jax’s shoulder, my voice steady but urgent. “He’s not worth it.”

Lewis sneers, his lips curling in a smirk. “You heard your whore. Walk away.”

Before Jax and Linc can react, Marcus’s fist slams into Lewis’s face. Blood pours from his nose instantly.

“Fuck,” Linc mutters, grabbing Marcus by the arms to hold him back.
