“No, sunshine. You say my name when you come for me, not his.”

“Demetri!”

She melted into the mattress beneath her, the grip of her legs wrapped around my waist tightening. I desperately entered her again, filling her and falling to my arms above her. Her pussy fluttered around me, and I wanted to stay inside of her all night.

I pulled out, rolling onto the mattress next to her and tugging her body to mine. “That was amazing.” She sighed, settling her body against me.

She fit there better than anyone ever had, like she was made to exist in my arms. I tightened my hold on her, nuzzling my face into her neck and hair. “No, you’re amazing. You’re becoming my biggest weakness.”And weak men always fall.

I wokeup before the sun had risen, startled by the arms that held me in place. Then images from the night before of Demetri coming into my room, burying himself between my legs and making me fall apart over and over flashed across my mind, and a wet warmth washed over me.

He was sleeping soundly beside me, as if it was the most normal thing in the world for us to wake up together. His face was softer when he slept, almost serene. I ran my fingers across his forehead and down his cheek to his lips, tracing them. They twitched just slightly at my touch before forming into a soft smile, one that caused a flutter of butterflies in my core. I leaned up, pressing my lips lightly to his.

“It’s early, sunshine. Go back to sleep.” He tightened his arms around me, hugging me to his chest.

When he nuzzled his nose against my neck, I sighed. “But I want to watch the sunrise.” If I was being completely honest, I wanted nothing more than to stay wrapped in this man’s arms. The way his chest rose and fell evenly was comfortable, steady.

He groaned out a gentle sound of defeat. Without a word, he slid from his position wrapped around me and out of the bed, moving to my side and scooping me into his arms, still draped in the sheet. I muffled my squeal against his neck.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“You want to watch the sunrise, so we’re going to watch the sunrise, but I’m not ready to let go of you yet. Not when I have to go all day without touching you.”

I sighed, wrapping my arms around him and kissing his neck. He sat in the chair on the balcony. “We’re only watching the sunrise, sweetheart. If you start that, I’m taking you back to bed and blindfolding you, so you’ll miss the entire thing. Now behave.”

The way chills traveled down my spine and ended between my legs when he spoke was addicting. I wanted his approval in a way I couldn’t explain.

We watched the sun rising over the bay in a comfortable silence, my head resting on his shoulder. His strong arms were wrapped around me, the hard muscles of his chest pressing against my back through the bed sheet. What would it be like to start every morning in someone’s arms? What would it be like to start every morning inDemetri’sarms?

I stood in the mirror and stared at the reflection of the red dress against my now slightly sun-kissed skin. Jules had said the seafood restaurant William picked for dinner was formal, so when they’d left for their meeting, we took a car into the Miami Design District to shop.

She had explicit instructions to get whatever we wanted, and after I tried the dress on, she decidedwehad to have it. Most of the time, I would be hesitant to accept such an extravagant gift after seeing the price tag, but she insisted William wouldn’t even notice. For a second, I considered how much money the Carlisle family really had, but then I thought about the look Demetri would get on his face when he saw me in it.

A confident smile stretched across my cheeks. The fabric was fitted to my curves, and thin straps hung off my shoulders. My hair was pulled back in a French twist, and after painting gloss on my lips, I rolled them together. Strapping black heeled sandals on my feet, I poked my leg through the slit in the short skirt and gave an approving nod.

I stepped into the hall as the door to the room next to mine was slammed shut. When I whipped my head in his direction, Demetri was staring at me with wide eyes.

“Jesus help me,” he grumbled, lifting an eyebrow.

I put my hand on my hip and blinked up at him. “Do you like it?”

He looked behind him before closing the distance between us. “Like it? Not at all, sunshine. It makes me feel absolutely fuckingferal.” With a growl, he stepped back from me. “In fact, if I touch you, we won’t be going to dinner. I’ll see you downstairs.”

Seeing his hands practically shaking when he walked away made me feel sexy, and I rolled my shoulders back before following him to the stairs. I was only halfway down the set of steps when Jules squealed from the living room.

“You look stunning! Doesn’t she lookstunning?” Jules nudged William next to her, who chuckled at her enthusiasm, but Demetri’s shoulders stiffened before he turned.

“You do look very nice, Andy. Is it a new dress?” He sounded pained, and a sense of amused satisfaction filled me.

“It is. I got it today.” I turned around, wiggling my hips, and dancing back to face the others. Demetri narrowed his eyes at me while Jules whistled.

“Definitely better thannice! Let’s go get dinner and get this womanlaid,” Jules practically sang, and Demetri snapped his head in my direction.

I laughed, the kind of laugh that echoed off the tall ceilings. “You’re ridiculous,” I said, but shrugged when I met eyes with the brooding man.

When we got to the restaurant, we folded out of the car and walked inside. At the podium, there was the small exchange of a glare between Demetri and William. It was like a power struggle that Demetri ultimately won since he stepped forward. “We have a reservation for four under Carlisle.”
