I shrugged. “I don’t know.”

Dad hated the idea ofanyguy touching me. Or me dating anyone, ever. Would he think differently about the guys touching me being Ashby and Dash?

“Tripp will definitely rip our dicks off,” Dash muttered, sighing as he leaned back against the headboard.

“I think Rhys will too. He might even kill us.” Ashby said it more jokingly. Like he didn’t believe his own words.

“Maybe we should keep this a secret,” I suggested.

“Maybe you should try getting them to touch you, too,” Ashby countered.

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, you should seduce the others like you seduced us.”

“I didn’t seduce you!” I argued. “You basically dared me to kiss you.”

“And you did.”

I sighed, murmuring, “But I didn’t seduce you.”

“Whatever.” Ashby got up from the bed and adjusted his shorts before looking at Dash. “I’ll head to the shop earlier today. You coming too?”

“No, I’ll be there at nine.”

Meaning, he was going to stay in bed with me for a while longer.

Ashby didn’t reply and left without giving us another glance.

Dash let out a sigh once he was out of the room, and I turned to my side to face him. I smiled gently, watching him closely. “Everything okay?” I asked quietly.

His eyes met mine, and while he tried, he wasn’t able to hide how uncomfortable he was. “I should ask you. What we did was…”

“Fine. It was fine. And I liked it,” I assured him, placing my hand on his cheek. “We don’t have to talk about it. We can keep it to ourselves.”

He nodded at first, then he let out a hard laugh. “We sure can. But Ashby will tell the others.”

“You think?”

“Yeah. He’ll risk getting punched in the face without fearing the damn consequences.”

I could see Ashby telling Rhys and Tripp too. In a way, it was an exciting thought. But then…I knew my brothers would definitely scold me for it. There’s no way they’d just listen to Ashby brag about getting head and going down on me without a fight breaking out.

“Let’s just…not talk about it for now. Maybe Ashby won’t tell anyone.”

Dash shook his head but didn’t say more. He sighed and put his arms around me, pulling me closer until my body was pressed against his. I buried my face into the crook of his neck and breathed in deeply, letting his scent fill my lungs.

Despite all the worry settling in my chest, I wasn’t really scared of what could happen if what we did gets out. In this moment, I was happy to be in Dash’s arms.

The next day after work, I sat at the dock with my feet dangling just above the surface of the lake. The breeze pulled strands of my hair across my face, while the sun slowly lowered in front of me. It would take a few more hours before the sun would set, and I intended on staying here until it was fully gone.

It was quiet here. Peaceful in a way that made it easy to forget what had happened last night and this morning. But forgetting wasn’t really what I wanted.

I propped up one foot and wrapped my arms around my leg, resting my chin on my knee. Everything felt like a forbidden lullaby in my mind. Every touch. Every sound. And Dash’s face…the way he looked at me like he wasn’t sure if we’d just done something wrong or found something real.
