I stood next to them while Dad explained a few things, showing him exactly how he upgraded the Harley. While Dad talked, Kenneth kept looking at me.
The more attention I kept giving him, the bigger the tip would be. I smiled at him with my sucker still in my mouth, playing with it using my tongue.
“Bliss.” Uncle Odin nudged my thigh with his elbow from where he was kneeling next to a different bike.
I tilted my head and looked down at him. “What?”
“Stop.” He didn’t look pleased with the way I was flirting with Gunpowder.
Rolling my eyes, I pulled the sucker out of my mouth and moved away from Dad and Kenneth to put distance between us. “He likes it,” I argued.
Odin’s jaw ticked. “Knock it off.”
“Yeah, Lissy, knock it off,” Dash added, mocking his father.
I pursed my lips to keep from grinning, and when I looked at Odin again, I pouted. “But he’ll leave a nice tip…” I kept my voice low so Kenneth wouldn’t hear. Though, he was now pretty focused on what Dad was telling him.
“It’s not fucking worth it,” Odin muttered. “Not with him.”
“He’s old and ugly anyway,” Rhys whispered loudly, looking over his shoulder. “Listen to Odin.”
I sighed with a roll of my eyes and pushed the sucker back into my mouth. “Fine.”
“I enjoyed it,” Dash said when I walked past him, which earned him a slap to the back of his head from my oldest brother. Tripp didn’t look amused, and neither did the others. But they didn’t stay mad for too long and moved right along once I headed back to the front desk.
After a while, Dad pushed Kenneth’s bike out of the workshop, while Kenneth came to pay. I smiled up at him, not trying to flirt because I didn’t want to upset anyone anymore.
“Ready to pay?” I asked, already clicking through the system to check off what had been done.
“Yeah.”
“All right. Just to list the things that were done: the suspension was upgraded, swapped in new wheels, a custom exhaust was installed, plus a full paint job, and to tie it all together, we did a performance tune. That’ll be 9,599.”
Kenneth let out a low whistle, but he pulled out his card without arguing. “Worth it,” he grumbled, handing me the card.
I put the sum into the payment terminal, then held the card to it.
“And this is for you.”
I looked up after handing him back the card, seeing that he was holding a fifty-dollar bill to me. I smiled brightly, reaching for it as I thanked him.
He pulled it back, raising his brows as he said, “But you have to pick it up.” He let the fifty fall to the floor, watching me expectantly.
I watched as it landed next to the front desk. Biting the inside of my cheek, I decided to play along. I wanted that fifty.
I rounded the desk and turned my back to him, then bent down to grab it off the floor. While I was still bent, I looked behind me to watch him watch me. His eyes were on my ass, taking it all in, enjoying the view without a hint of shame.
When I stood up straight and turned around, I smiled at him and went back behind the desk. “Thank you, Mr. Gunpowder.”
“Thankyou, sugar. What’s your name?”
“Bliss.”
“Yeah…bet you are.”
“We all right here?” Odin walked up to us, an annoyed look in his eyes which he tried to hide. But he couldn’t. He probably saw what just happened.
“Everything’s fine,” I assured him, smiling. “Here’s your receipt.” I handed it to Kenneth, then said goodbye as he left.
