Pleasure surged through her in a tidal wave of heat and light. A primal wail tore from her throat as her body convulsed around his mouth, his tongue, his proboscis still curling deep inside her like it never wanted to leave. He gripped her hips tighter, claws curling possessively against her skin, holding her in place as tongue and proboscis continued to move in concert, unrelenting.

Her body clenched and opened all at once and she cried out again as another shudder overtook her. Then another. And still, he didn’t stop, not until her cries faltered into gasps, and she collapsed, boneless.

When he finally lifted his head, she stared at him in awe, this creature of hunger and wings and shadow and light, who had undone her like a ritual he was born to perform.

“I need you.” The sound dragged out of her, hoarse and aching, tongue clumsy with want. “I need youinme.”

A primal look shifted in his expression, and he rose above her, wings flaring in shadowed silhouette. His cock had emerged, thick and dark and engorged, and the heat of him brushed against her glistening want.

“Say it again,” he whispered, eyes blazing.

Nell’s lips parted in reverent surrender. “I need you.Please.”

“You beg so sweetly,” he murmured, voice like a claw just shy of sinking in. “But I need to hear it yet again, beloved.”

“Please,” she whimpered. “I need you.”

He made a wrecked sound of barely bridled need, but still, he didn’t enter. Instead he rolled his hips. Just once. Just enough to let the swollen head of his cock glide over her clit.

“This is a choosing,” he rasped. “This is you wanting me. Let me hear it, Nell. Say you claim me.”

She lifted her eyes to his and a snarl twisted her lips.

“I claim you,” she growled. “Now shut up andfuck me.”

“As you command,” Sig snarled, and he thrust himself fully into her, sheathing himself to the hilt.

Her mouth fell open in a wail at the shock being filled so completely, sorightly. Her legs locked around his waist and she clawed at him, hands scraping over velvet and chitin as if she could carve her desire into him. His hips drove forward with a force that stole her breath.

“You are my temple,” Sig rumbled, voice thick with devotion and demand. “I will worship until your walls come down, as you beg like a sinner for ruin.”

“Then ruin me,” Nell moaned through clenched teeth, all fire and fury. “Don’t hold back. You wanted me? Take me. Make me scream your name until I forget mine.”

She grabbed the back of his head and brought his forehead viciously to hers. “You’re not going to break me, Sig,” she breathed, a grin curling at her lips even as her body trembled. “You’re going to make meferal.”

She bit his shoulder—hard.

He let loose a clicking bellow and slammed into her, hips snapping forward with brutal precision, each thrust hitting a place inside her that was all nerve and want and helpless, screaming pleasure. Nell writhed beneath him, eyes wild, a broken laugh spilling from her lips as she met each stroke with thrusting hips, nails dragging into his arms.

“Harder,” she gasped, voice shaking with pleasure and defiance. “Come on—wreck me—make me scream.”

His wings flared—once, twice—and they rose above the pillows, bodies lifting just enough to break gravity’s hold. The shift arched her spine, and the scream tore from her throat without warning as release slammed through her. Pleasure surged, wild and unrelenting, igniting every muscle, every trembling nerve. She clenched around him with desperate rhythm, body seizing in pulses that dragged him deeper, kept him locked inside her, as if her body couldn’t bear to let go.

The bond surged, searing and golden, a radiant coil that looped through her body and snapped back into him like a closed circuit. She felt him shudder against her as resonance detonated. Pleasure surged again in a wave and her body gave way, spasming around him, sobbing in a cascade of broken sound and desperate gasps ofyes, yes, gods, yes—

“Call my name,” he clacked. “Say it again.”

“Sig,” she gasped—louder now, desperate, raw.

A clicking trill rolled from his throat, low and involuntary, as the rhythm of his hips faltered, and then redoubled. He moved faster, sharper, every thrust a tremor of need too vast for flesh. She felt the resonance in his chest vibrate against hers, like a living engine coming apart.

He crushed her to him, claspers tightening at the curve of her hips. His mouth buried in her neck, breath wet and shaking, and the pulse of him inside her turned ragged, not erratic, but overtaken, as if the frequency of her voice had overridden everything else.

Sig’s head snapped back, wings flaring wide. A thrumming, clacking keen ripped out of him, high and layered and terrifying in its beauty as he came in brutal, pulsing waves, hot and overwhelming, and Nell wailed in pleasure as she felt the bond snap tight and ignite between them, around them, within them.

For one breathless, impossible moment they were no longer bodies, but light, sound joined together in perfect harmony.

Then—with a shuddering gasp that cracked the air between them—he collapsed.
