I moan feeling my climax build. Elijah’s tongue is magic as he laps at my clit, bringing me to new heights. My eyes lock with Ezra and his pupils are blown out, only leaving a small ring of hiselectric green eyes. He looks ravenous, and I suddenly want to be devoured.
His hand slides down the front of my dress to my chest and he grabs onto my breast roughly. Just as his finger and thumb pinch my nipple, I explode, my orgasm wracking through every inch of my body.
My fists clench as I try to free myself from Ezra’s strong grip, but it’s useless. As my breathing returns to normal, Elijah sits on his heels and pulls me into his arms. He kisses me passionately and I can taste myself on his tongue.
“God, that was incredible,” I pant. “I-I’ve never experienced anything like that. That was?—”
“Just a small sample of what’s to come,” Ezra promises. Elijah pulls my dress down, licking his lips with a devilish smile as we pull up to the coffee shop. Winston knocks on the window, letting us know we arrived.
“Are you sure we can’t drop you by your apartment? We’ll take you any–”
“This is fine,” I promise. Elijah nods and opens the door. He pulls me to my wobbly feet as Ezra rounds the car. They both walk me to the door, each holding my hand.
“Tonight was perfect. Thank you both,” I murmur, looking from one to the other.
Ezra leans down and kisses my forehead. “It was our pleasure. But we’re hoping for a second date, Wren.”
I smile, nodding my head. “I’d love that. Just let me know when.” Elijah pulls me into his hard chest, his arms wrapping around my body. I melt into his embrace as his warm breath flutters over my skin.
His spicy cologne washes over me. “You were perfect tonight, uccellina. We can’t wait to see you again.” He leans in, capturing my lips sweetly before handing me off to Ezra.
“Until we meet again, little bird,” Ezra whispers, his lips pressing softly against mine.
I stand frozen, watching them drive away as their taillights fade into the distance. With a sigh, I turn and enter the shop. As I make my way upstairs, my mind races with thoughts of them, the feel of their touch lingering on my skin. I know I'm in over my head, but I can't find it in me to care.
Chapter Six
Ezra
The sun streams through the windows, effectively waking me from whatever good dream I was having. I stretch my arms above my head then grab my phone. Several notifications pop up but nothing from my little bird, so I decide to send her something.
Ezra:
Good morning, merlotta.
Our Italian heritage comes out strong with Wren near. I’ve never given a name to a woman before, especially on the first date, but it just felt right. Even with the bet, it’s different this time. There is a connection I’ve never felt with anyone. It makes me want to do anything and everything to claim her as ours.
As I wait for her to respond, I pull up the chat with the private investigator.
Ezra:
We got her last name. Preston. Wren Preston.
Jacobson:
I actually already got the information you needed and that’s not her real last name.
My heart races in my chest as I jump out of my bed and head to Eli’s room. Of course he’s still asleep.
“Wake up!” I bark, throwing a pillow at his head.
“What the fuck, dude?” he groans as he sits up. “Where’s the fire?”
“Jacobson got back to me. Meet me in my office.” I all but sprint to my office on the second floor just as my printer is spitting out a stack of papers. I grab them off the tray and start reading through everything.
Elijah walks in looking like a sleepy puppy and flops down on the couch. I toss the packet in front of him and he glances down before picking it up.
“What the hell is this?”
