“This is Logan, or Ace as he’s called,” Liv introduced him to us. “He served with Talon in the military and he has many skills.”

“Oh, yeah?” I asked. “And what skill will help us here?”

“We are damned if we trade her and damned if we don’t,” Justice said in disgust.

“Not if we plant a tracker inside this O,” Logan spoke up.

The room went quiet for a second.

I stared at Ace. “How will you do that without her knowing?”

“It is simple, we drug her food,” Liv stated. “When she passes out, we plant it at the back of her neck.”

We all looked at each other.

“It is worth a shot,” my dad said.

“It’s risky,” Raven said.

“It all is!” Justice retorted. “All I know is…” He looked around at all of us. “We have to get our sister—back.” His voice cracked a bit.

“So where did this kidnapper say the trade would happen?” Talon asked.

“He didn’t,” my father replied.

“What?” Liv asked as she looked puzzled. “Then what…” She shook her head.

“They said O would tell us where,” Dad growled.

“Always in charge,” Dagger griped as he gazed at the men in the room. “She has people everywhere. You never know who is working for her.”

“Dude, that sounds paranoid,” my brother Fate said.

Dagger stepped over to him. “Paranoid? Man, she set me up to take a fall by people I never thought would…” He shook his head. “But let’s just skip that part. I spent 7 years in a fucking penitentiary while dodging her assassins. I would get rid of one and another would take his place. I spent half my time in solitary, because I was killing men or taking them down so hard they needed a hospital. And the best part? I never killed anyone before I was sent in. No, she made me just the same as the killers in there. She is more twisted than most of the cons in prison, man. She plans ahead, she pays people off, or she threatens them into terror. But in the end, she lands on top. Even now!” he shouted in frustration. “We fucking captured her, but there she is laughing at us because she knows we will let her go!” He looked enraged. “Do what you will, but I won’t fucking rest at all until this bitch is dead.” He stalked past me out the door.

My father let out a heavy sigh. “That had to be…” He shook his head.

“Bad? Hard?” His twin Hawk finally spoke up. “It might take years for him to get past it.”

“She damaged many people and their families,” Talon stated. “Not just ours but many all over the world. The girls she traffics were plucked up from all over the states. She had about 20 Russian girls going for auction at one point. Right here in town.”

“Did you save any of them?” I asked him.

“We did but not enough. She also runs rackets. Prostitution rings, fight clubs, strip joints, illegal gaming halls. Runs drugs and guns. You pretty much name it and she owns it.”

“I’m thinking she has a trap set for you all too,” Logan suggested.

“And why do you think that?” I asked him.

“The three days,” he replied. “Why did she give you that much time?”

I paused. “The trip took us about five hours to get here. So, yeah. You got a point.”

Logan stared at me. “How long was Glory missing before you got the call?”

“Three days,” my father answered. “Three days of pure hell.”

“It’s still hell,” Fate added.
