“Damn,” he stated with a growl.

“Yeah, so we need someone to come get our bikes. So we can drive their van to the ranch.”

“Yeah, man. Tell me where.”

I looked down at Cinnamon. “Where exactly are we?”

“Vern road.”

Reaching down, I caressed her cheek. “And the street you turn off of to get down Vern?” I asked her softly.

She sighed as she seemed to like my caressing then she replied, “Tenth Street.”

“So Tenth and Vern. We’re in the alley on tenth,” I told Talon.

“Be there in thirty,” he said as he ended the call.

I swiped my phone and said, “Now we wait and hope no one like the local cops notice us.”

“They won’t care.”

I looked over to see the other girl who’d said this. Sitting upright, she stared at Cinnamon. “Can you explain to me what the fuck is going on?”

Chapter Eleven:A Bus To Egypt

Cinnamon

My head pounded like mad. Sighing, I tried to sit up.

Redemption grasped me under my arms and helped me. “Take it easy. You’re hurt.”

Jewel looked confused with sleep mussed hair and a bruised cheek. “All I know is I went to sleep and the next thing I know a giant yanked me out of my bed. Man, I thought I was dead for sure. I mean how the fuck did he get in?” She rubbed her eyes. “I kept wishing it was all just a really bad dream.”

I stared at a confused looking Jewel. “I…Well, I needed a place to layover for just a night until I could get a bus ticket.”

“She’s still after you?” Jewel asked me.

I nodded then winced as I reached up to feel the cut on my head. “She will always be after me.”

“A bus ticket?” Redemption asked me. “To where?’

“Anywhere far away from her,” I snapped. “Like Egypt maybe?”

Jewel rolled her eyes as she still looked out of it. “Cin, you can’t get to Egypt on a damn bus.”

Redemption still looked puzzled. “Why would you leave the ranch? It is the safest place for you.”

“No place will be safe for me, Redemption. When O is set free…” I scoffed. “Well, you see what happened already. She isn’t even free yet and her goons grabbed me.”

“Us,” Jewel interjected.

“I’m so sorry, Jewel,” I told her sincerely. “I didn’t see anyone following me.”

“Well, then where did these guys come from?” Jewel motioned to Redemption and Prophet.

I stared at her then looked up at Redemption. “You followed me?”

Nodding his head, he smiled. “We managed to catch up to you. I mean, a ten-speed, come on.”
