Logan shrugged. “My best guess. Alone in a room, two signatures in the hall, guarding her door. These two men are outside.” He pointed at the two green looking forms. “They are guarding the window of her room.”

“Wow, you are really good at this!” Jewel spoke up.

Talon snorted. “The man saved so many lives. Helped to rescue prisoners. Awarded the Medal of Valor—”

“Cut that shit out,” Logan cut him off.

“It’s all true, baby,” Liv said as she leaned in to kiss his cheek.

He shook off the compliments. “I have more frames to study. Then with what Intel Tank, Ranger, Wildcat and Keys give us, we will have what we need to go in.”

Talon smiled at him. “So you have gotten to know them?”

Logan nodded then looked over at Redemption and Jarret. “You have some of the best of the best working for your daughter’s freedom here. These men had a record of seven out of ten. No one could get better at it than that.”

Jarret glared at him. “Seven rescued out of ten, is that what you mean?”

“Yes, sir.” Logan nodded. “In the conditions we had over there, those are the best odds anyone could achieve. Here though, we are on home ground. There’s also this.” He tapped his keyboard and typed some letters in.

We all leaned in again to try to see the screen.

Redemption asked what I was wondering, “What is that?”

“It’s a back way in and it is in the wilds, comes right up onto the Connor House property. So, if they are stupid…” he paused. “And I think they are.” Then he smirked. “They don’t think that’s an area they need to watch much.”

Redemption smiled at him. “They call you Ace, right?”

Logan nodded.

“No wonder.” Redemption patted his arm then looked over at his dad. “Talon’s right. These men are the best chance we have.”

Jarret nodded though no cheer showed in his eyes or face.

I couldn't blame him, his daughter was at risk here. If they did this the wrong way… I took in a breath and released it as I looked back over at Redemption.

Jarret stepped back. “We’ve only got one more day.” He looked over at Talon.

“They will have the intel we need in about 2 hours,” Talon replied. “I’m now setting the team up that will head out the back way.” He studied the map Logan had up. “There’s an old cattle road there.” He tapped the line for that road. “We can access it from the county road.” He looked up again at Jarret and Redemption. “Then we will have men in the trees on the other side of the bridge. They will monitor the entrance.”

“When will we go?” Redemption asked.

Talon stared at him. “Who says you’re going?”

I sucked in a breath. Redemption wouldn’t like this question, no how. This was his sister they were talking about.

“The fuck?” Redemption swore. “I will be there. You already knew that.” He glared at Talon. “I’m also military trained. I know what this is about.”

Talon gave him a nod. “Ok, but you have to stay in line with the rescue.”

“And what the fuck does that mean?” Redemption growled.

Talon stepped up close to him and said, “See, if you have to ask that question then you sure as hell will mess it up. This is your sister, Redemption. That makes it too personal. Men who go on missions involving family or loved ones—”

“Are you saying I will fuck it up?” Redemption now looked really pissed off.

“Maybe,” Talon answered calmly.

Jarret stepped over and placed a hand on Redemption’s chest then stared at Talon. “He will act accordingly.” He looked back over at Redemption. “You will have to take orders, son. He’s right, you have too much invested in this, as do I.”
