“Yes, Ma. We figured that out,” Dagger said.

She swung her gaze over to him. “Don’t you be disrespecting me, Tristan. I taught you better than that.”

Dagger stared at her and he looked a bit startled as he realized what he said. “I’m sorry, Ma.”

Ma gave him a nod and looked over at Liv. “You may have missed it, but O had Deacon…at least, I believe it was him that done it.”

“Done what?” Liv interrupted her.

“Daughter, you need to leave your badge in the drawer and let me finish.” Bea shook her head. “He kidnapped Jarret’s daughter, Glory.”

Liv’s eyes widened. “That’s why…Wow, she had that planned for if we ever caught her!” Liv looked around at us.

I had to admit, my brothers and I were still a bit stunned by the similarities to our sister Glory. It had all of us speechless.

“And who is Deacon?” Dad asked.

“He is O’s son,” Liv replied. “We never knew about him, but he has been helping her all through the years.” She shrugged. “I’m not sure about who his father is. Who knows?”

“How do you know this man is her son?” Dad asked Liv.

“She confirmed it. And unfortunately, we knew Deacon before all of this.”

We all stared at the woman who looked so much like Glory. “You knew him?” I asked.

Nodding, she swung her gaze over to me. “It’s a long story, but I knew him in college. Then when we went undercover to catch O, she pulled one over on us, as she knew we were there the whole time and she knew who we were. Deacon was on a video. He told us…” she paused. “Among other revelations that anyone close to us would die. That she didn’t want the Walkers dead, she just wanted to hurt us all.”

“That was when we moved everyone out here,” Talon added. “To protect them all.”

Dad looked from Liv over to Talon. “The Walker Ranch as a haven. Yes, I can see that. Home to generations of us. I saw all the extra security and the new fences. You’ve done a good job.” He gave Talon a nod.

“Jarret, can you introduce your sons?” Bea smiled for the first time. “Hell’s Bells…They are such handsome men.”

He nodded. “Not sure about that, but they are all ornery and stubborn, like most Walkers.”

Bea laughed. “I will just bet they are. Mouthy as magpies too, right?”

Now our dad actually laughed.

My brothers and I could do nothing but stare at him. We hadn’t heard him laugh in so long and the sound was shocking.

Dad pointed at me. “This is Redemption, my oldest. He is now the President of my MC. He can be hot headed but he keeps himself in check enough to lead men. He did a stint in the military and that helped a lot to straighten him out. Was a Bounty Hunter for a few years too. Then this is my next in line, Justice.” He waved his hand to my brother. “Cool headed most of the time and he has a bachelor’s in law.” Dad chuckled. “Loves the law… I named him appropriately.”

Bea looked at me then at Justice.

Dad now motioned to Fate and Liberty. “These are my twin sons, though they aren’t identical. That is Fate.” He pointed at him. “He, believe it or not, has a degree in architecture. He drew up the plans for our new compound. And Liberty here, he is a martial arts instructor. He has several black belts and he toured the MMA circuit up until recently.” He gave my cousin a nod. “This is my nephew Prophet and his father is a part of this MC as is he. He’s like our cowboy biker, of all things. He trains horses and has worked the rodeo circuit.”

Bea stared at all of us. “You gave them names like Jacob did for…” She paused and cleared her throat.

“Those are their real names, Bea.” Jarret stared at her.

She looked from us to him as her eyes got round in her face. “Heavens to Betsy, Jarret! I won’t ask ya why you did that, but it’s unique, I’ll give you that.”

He shook his head. “I felt like they were gifts and blessings, Bea. I named them after the best principles in life.”

Bea nodded her head. “You always were the kind that…” She paused to clear her throat.

Now, I noticed her kids staring at her like we did when our dad laughed. I already took in the fact that she didn’t care what people thought and she spoke her mind. Now, it seemed she didn’t know what to say.
