“He asked if he could meet me.”
“And you agreed?”
“No, not right away,” she said.
“Why not?”
“Despite your opinion and his…” She motioned at Liberty. “I’m not stupid. I told him that we could meet at a coffee shop somewhere with lots of people. And when we did, he laid it all out for me.”
“Laid it out…” Talon raised a brow at her.
“Yes, he had files on a USB. He plugged it into his laptop and turned it around for me to look at.”
“And what did you see?”
She looked hesitant and then said, “Dagger’s prison record. I knew about that, I mean everyone in this area knew. I told him that wasn’t evidence that the Walkers were all bad.”
“What else did he show you?”
“How you all bought up businesses and…” She paused.
“And what?”
“He showed me a video feed of the Rebel Saints, an MC he said you hired to move guns and drugs.”
Talon stared at her. “And on this video, you saw them moving guns?”
Nodding, she sighed. “It was right there on film and drug deals too. But now…”
“Now?”
She looked upset as she admitted, “The MC on the videos selling drugs and guns weren't wearing the cuts that these men have.” She motioned to the men who were now getting back to work on the bushes and cleaning the walkway.
“The Vice Lords,” Talon said in disgust. “They worked for O.”
Shrugging, she replied, “I don’t know who they were now.”
“Then these businesses,” Talon said. “We own one: The Walker Dojo. O and Deacon own…” he paused, then listened to his comm and nodded. “Thirty-five businesses at last count, according to Sofia as Liv just reminded me. Plus housing tracks and apartment buildings. In fact, they practically own all of downtown.”
“He showed me official titles and stuff, all with Walker names on them.”
“Wow,” Liberty spoke up as he looked over at Talon. “The Louisiana Walkers beat us at that.”
Talon scoffed. “Ma owns the ranch, Raven technically owns the Dojo and a small apartment. I own my bike, a truck and a patch of land near the ranch. Rip owns his garage. Sofia owns a house and some land outside of town. The rest of the Walkers don’t own any land or buildings.”
“So, he falsified all those titles and showed you videos of his own gang as they did business,” Justice said.
Belle nodded. “Yes, I know that now. But when he showed me an image of his mom…” She shivered. “She was dead with a knife in her chest.” Looking over at me she said, “He told me that one of the Walkers murdered her.”
We all stared at her.

Justice
“What a twisted psycho,” I stated.
“Yes and it wasn’t murder at all,” Talon defended.
