Legend shook his head as I dragged him inside and down the long hallway to my room.

I got to the door, opened it, and then pulled him in. Tugging him over to the bed. I ordered, “Sit!”

He chuckled and sat down like I told him to.

All of the sudden, I paused as I realized I really didn’t know what to do next. Then it came to me. “You need to undress,” I told him.

Pausing, he stared at me. “Are you sure about this? I mean don’t you want to like…date first?”

I placed my hands on my hips. “Date? For one, where are you going to take me without having at least three guards present?”

He seemed to think about this and said, “Yeah, I guess that’s true. But I’m not sure about just rushing you into bed like this.”

“You aren’t rushing this, Legend. I am. I’ve been waiting a decade for this.”

He stared at me then laughed. “No, it hasn’t been that long.”

I laughed too and said, “Almost. So strip!”

His gaze remained on my face as his expression became intense.

I refused to be denied any longer, but on the outside, I tried to appear calm and in charge. On the in…I was a basket case while literally quaking. I’d messed around with a few boys as ateen when I was in high school. I thought of them as just that…boys. Later on, I went on a few dates in college. I really never got past the stage of what they call foreplay though. The reason why…This man right here. I had always been hung up on him. Even if I liked the man I was dating back then, he still wasn’t Legend. I would put a halt to the makeout session and tell the guy I just wasn’t ready. Well, I was never ready for any man except for Legend.

“Are you sure about this?” he asked me quietly.

Was I sure? He just had no idea. “Hell, Legend, we should have been married already. So, I am helluva sure.”

At this statement, he looked a little shocked as he tucked his head back and asked, “You really believe that?”

“I do. I know how I feel. I’ve known that you were the guy for me years back.” I dropped my hands from my hips and asked the direct question I needed to ask, “Do you know how you feel?”

Nodding his head, he admitted, “Yes, Glory. You are the only woman for me. I have secretly been in love with you for a few years now.”

“It was a secret alright.” I scoffed as I rolled my eyes. “No one else would have ever guessed. Especially me.”

He broke into laughter. “I know. I’m sorry. But I finally got wise, ok? Now will be our time, Glory.

“So, you have felt the same way for a few years?” I asked.

He stood from where I’d sat him on the bed and admitted, “Ever since you turned 20. So I guess it would be five years.” He lowered his hands, unbuttoning his dress shirt.

My eyes remained glued to his hands as he undid the buttons. “You waited five years! God, Legend. Why?”

He shook his head as he took his shirt off. “You already know why.”

“Yeah, yeah. My dad and brothers. Why couldn’t you see that it wasn’t up to them. It was up to me?”

“I can see that now. But I suppose I wasn't ready back then either.” He tossed his shirt onto the chair by the bed and sat back down again.

Ok, so I will admit it. Yes, I stared at his bare chest. Of-fucking-course I did. He just seemed to be all hard muscles and smooth skin; like candy for my eyes. I had no more questions, in fact, my brain stopped working I think. Damn, this man was hot.

He took his boots off next and his socks. Now, as he made eye contact with me, he stood again and reached for his pant’s button.

My fascinated gaze slowly traveled from his wide chest to his lean waist and down to his hands.

His arousal was evident through his pants. His movements paused, so I swung my gaze up to his face.

“So, I’m like a male stripper now?” he teased as he gave me that adorable smirk of his.
