Wrapping his arms around me, Legend whispered, “I love you, Glory Walker.”
I froze at his whispered words and swallowed hard. Those words had been what I’d yearned to hear. Words I never thought to hear from his lips. I must be dreaming, had to be. Do people get what they wish for, like this?
I did and I still had trouble believing it.
Lying on top of him, I gave myself time to get my breath back. I’d never had full on sex with a guy. I was overwhelmed with how awesome it was. How great it felt. We had an out of control fire from the depths. I didn’t know what it was supposed to be like, but I couldn’t think of it being any better than what we just experienced together. I had no regrets.
Legend had remained quiet as he had been holding me tight while my head rested on his chest. “Are you okay?” he asked quietly.
I slowly raised my head to look into his eyes. “I’m better than okay, Legend. That was fucking fantastic!” I giggled like a teen girl.
He looked relieved as he smiled at me. “I was hoping you…” He cleared his throat. “I know it had to hurt a little.”
“It didn’t hurt at all.” I smiled down at him. “I was too high from the pleasure to feel it I guess?”
Legend chuckled softly and finally sat up, with me on his lap. “Let’s take a shower.” He lifted me up and stood from the bed.
I gasped as he swung me around. “I-I get to shower with you?”
His chuckling got louder. “Well, yeah. You’re naked and I’m naked, so it makes sense. Or we can take a bath, I guess? We are going to be together for a very long time, Glory. So, yes. Showers, dinners, days in the park. Whatever makes you happy.”
I felt tears gather in my eyes.
Looking down at me, he paused at the bathroom door. “What’s wrong?”
I sniffled and shook my head. “I just never thought…” I never believed this day would come. Me and him as a couple? The real thing. A relationship!
“I just cannot understand what you see in me to make you feel like that.” He slowly shook his head. “But I’m damn lucky that you do.” Legend kissed my forehead then carried me into the bathroom.

Setting her down on the sink counter, I moved over and turned the shower on. I held my hand under the spray until it felt right. Turning to retrieve Glory, I paused.
Still sitting on the counter while staring at me intently with wide eyes, she was biting at her lower lip.
“What is it?” I asked in concern.
“You…” She swallowed heavily and kept staring at me. “My name.”
I stared back at her then peered down at my bare body. I wondered what she…I halted and then slowly looked back up at her. She had seen it.
“H-how long …” she asked a bit breathlessly. “How long have you had it?”
“Almost four years.”
“Four years?” she shouted as she looked more upset by the second.
I didn’t expect this reaction, then again she had always been like a storm. “Glory, come on—”
She hopped off the sink as tears sparkled in her eyes. “You have had my name tattooed on your shoulder for three God damn years?”
I slowly nodded my head.
“Explain it to me!” she demanded.
I never expected her to be mad about this. Not that I ever guessed she would actually see it. I also never thought I would see a very naked but angry Glory right in front of me either, buthere we were. I shook the illicit thought away as I knew I was in trouble here.
