Nodding, her knees gave out as her body slumped and she released a long, sated sigh. “Always yours…”

I chuckled and kept a hold of her limp body. As I raised her up, I had to ask, “You okay?”

Releasing an odd giggle, she could barely speak, “Yes…” She turned and grasped my face in both hands to kiss me.

I wrapped my arms around her nude body and allowed her to kiss me the way she wanted to.

It went on until Glory breathlessly broke away from my mouth and said, “That was a trip to the fucking moon! S-so now, I know why they call you Legend!”

I stared at her then tilted my head back and laughed.

Slumping a bit more in my arms, she grinned at me. “I admit it. I need rest…”

“Yeah, I can see that. Let’s get you dried off and into bed,” I suggested as I scooped her up.

“You are moving into my room,” she announced. “You know that, right?

With a smile, I shook my head and grabbed a towel as I carried her to the next room. Finally setting her down by the bed, I dried her off.

As soon as I got her dry, I again grabbed her up. I laid her down under the sheet and covered her up with it.

With a sweet grunt, her head barely hit the pillow and she instantly fell fast asleep.

Chuckling, I shook my head and went around the bed to get under the sheet too. I sat there on her bed staring down at her as she looked so content. Honestly, I don’t think I’d ever seen her this happy, or this calm. Whenever we saw each other, she always argued with me, or glared at me. I knew why. Man, did I feel glad I had stopped running away from this. I never dreamed we would be so explosive together. Damn, I never knew sex like that existed. Talk about off the charts chemistry. We were some kind of wildfire. I even lost my mind a few times here and there when I was with her tonight. I always had control of myself, but it slipped a few times with her.

I now knew something undeniable…once I’d gotten a taste of Glory, I would never leave her.

We did have a few things to take care of though. I pushed away the thought of telling her brothers and her dad. Then I realized they wouldn’t be surprised at all. They all knew about Glory and I. About the fact that we were almost destined to be together. It seemed like I was the only one behind on that idea.I moved over to lay beside her and gently slipped my arm under her, then placed her head on my shoulder.

Even as my body settled down, my mind wouldn’t. I was in Glory’s bed, wrapped up in her as she slept. For all these years, I never envisioned this. I stared up at the ceiling for a few minutes.

Glory said we should have been married already. I would gladly marry her tomorrow if she wanted that. She did demand for me to move into her room like today. I sure as hell wouldn’t argue because as I listened to her sweet little snore, I knew I belonged right here. I smiled to myself.

I finally closed my eyes and let sleep take me.

I don’t know how long we slept when an odd noise disturbed me. I sat upright and looked around.

“W-what is it?” Glory asked sleepily.

“I don’t know.” Then my cell buzzed and I looked around the room. “Damn, it’s still in my…” Leaving the bed, I walked over and grabbed my dress pants from the chair, digging the phone from the pocket. I tapped the screen to see a text from Zed.

3 men down on the fence line, someone got in.

“Fuck!” I dropped the phone, tugged my pants on, and rushed to the door. “Glory, get into the bathroom and lock the door.”

“What?”

“Do as I say,” I told her as I ducked out to the hall and shut the door behind me.

Sounds and movement came from the main room, so I headed that way. I didn’t carry a weapon, I could only think about the injured men. However, I knew Glory would get dressed and grab her gun. She was probably a better shot thanmost of the Requiem members. Trained from a little girl in all the same defense methods as her brothers. So, I knew for a fact, in at least two minutes, I would be seeing her coming out from the hallway.

I stood by the hallway entrance and waited for either her or for the injured men to be brought in. Both happenings were inevitable.

Chapter Eight:Cake Faced

Glory

Legend went out the door and shut it quietly.
