Legend couldn’t seem to help it, he laughed. “I did. I admit it. But at the time it was true. You were a damned cavity in the making. Then you slammed that cake so hard up against my face that my nose was pink for two days.”

“Good thing it was on a styrofoam plate,” I said as I laughed.

Legend laughed with me as he said, “All I could taste was chocolate for a week.”

I was laughing harder.

He went on, “I would blow my nose and frosting would come out.”

I hiccuped as I laughed too hard now. “Stop!” I had to swipe some tears away.

“I even broke out with some acne.” He laughed with me while wrapping me up in his arms. “That’s what happens when you getcake faced.”

I howled now with laughter. “Please stop!”

“I was right about one thing though. You are almost too much sugar for me.” Then he kissed me.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and fell into the kiss. Dang, whenever I tasted this man, I would lose my mind. Itamp'd up quickly as my body flushed and I wanted to make him take me back to my room. I pressed myself against him, almost crushing my breasts against his hard chest. I forgot all about his dad, the attack and the people in the room. All of it faded away into nothing.

All I knew was Legend.

Someone cleared their throat and it took another thirty seconds or more before we parted the kiss. Looking over, we stared at three of my brothers.

Justice, Liberty and Fate.

Chapter Nine:Well, Well, Well…

Legend

The Walker brothers stared at us as all three had their arms crossed over their chests.

Quiet settled in the main room as if this was a face off for a duel.

I wondered how her brothers would react when they found out about Glory and I. Now, we were about to find out.

“Well, well, well,” Liberty quipped as he broke the tense silence.

Glory let go of me then turned to face them. “None of you had better ruin this for me!” she warned them as she braced her hands onto her hips. “This is my life and you will play nice. You hear me?” She glared at them.

They stared at her, then looked at each other. Finally, they dropped their arms and burst into laughter.

I shook my head. Yeah, they knew. They’d always known.

Dropping her hands from her hip bracing, Glory looked a bit confused.

“We have been waiting for this, Sis,” Justice said.

“Yeah, like, for years now.” Fate nodded.

“It took you guyssooolong,” Liberty added in exasperation. “I thought you would be dating in rocking chairs, actually.”

“I agree,” Fate said. “I mean we, your brothers, got married first? Before you two even had your first date?”

“Yeah, I really believed you’d be getting a senior discount wedding.” Liberty chuckled.

Justice laughed. “Too funny. Like they would have the reception in the nursing home cafeteria.”

They laughed.
