“We are so happy about this!” Briget said as she looked animated.

Belle leaned in to hug me. “You were the one who made me realize how I felt about Liberty. So I am especially happy for you.”

“Nah, don’t thank me for that. You will have more than a few migraines. Liberty is helluva annoying,” I quipped.

Belle laughed.

“Wait, what did Glory do to make you realize that?” Briget asked Belle.

“I was in the middle of trying to ignore him,” Belle said as she chuckled. “She stopped me in the media room at Connor House. She just came out with it and honestly, I had never thought of it like that before. Love, I mean. Something like…When it hits, it’s mighty. When you fall, it is deep. I actually thought she was quoting a song.”

“Nah, it wasn’t.” I repeated the rest of it, “There aren’t many events in the world that can compare to when you fall in love.”

Belle laughed. “I remember now, you told me you wrote poetry.”

Legend looked a bit shocked as he shook his head at me. “You do?”

“No…” I laughed and told him, “I lied to her.”

“You acted like you knew all about it. So I asked you if you’d been in love,” Belle reminded me.

I shrugged and again met Legend’s gaze. “I told her I was, but there were many obstacles in the way.” Looking up at Belle, I went on, “But I really said it because I saw the look on your face when you were watching my brother. Then I came right out and asked you if you were in love with Liberty.”

“Yeah, she would do that.” Legend scoffed with a laugh. “The girl has no filter.”

“Hey, look who I grew up with,” I defended. “Four overbearing brothers and an MC president dad. Come on!”

The girls all laughed.

Belle nodded and explained, “That’s when I realized who she was. Glory. The very reason Liberty and his family were at Connor House. Then do you remember the actual advice you gave me?”

I shrugged. “Not really… I do know that I was still trying to get this man to see me.” I pointed at Legend.

“Oh, Isawyou all right,” Legend claimed. “You just didn’t catch me watching.”

“Sneaky as all hell.” I smacked his arm.

“Damn, you two are adorable,” Scarlet said.

“Right? Wedding number four coming up,” Briget agreed.

“Four?” Belle asked.

“Sure… It could be five technically, if you think about it.” Scarlet nodded. “Redemption and Cinnamon. Then Justice and me. And finally, you two and the twins. Next up, is Glory and Legend. An epic event, I will bet.”

Belle nodded. “I hope it’s soon. But I will never forget what you said, Glory. If you do find it, hang onto it for all you are worth.” Nodding, she looked over at Legend. “She said some people let walls stand in between them. Like the Wall of China or the Walls of Jericho.”

Legend looked from her to me and said, “And she was right. Only this wall wasn’t made in China or Jericho. It had been made in Italy.”

The girls stared at him in confusion.

Legend

I wasn’t sure if their new husbands had told them about my background yet. “I had a reason why I didn’t get together with Glory even though I wanted a future with her.”

Scarlet nodded and said, “Justice told me a little about it.”
