“And that would be a bad thing, how?” she asked as she laughed.

Just then, a knock sounded on the door.

Glory’s laughter halted and she suddenly looked startled as if the last thing she thought was coming was a knock on her door.

I chuckled at her comical expression as I stood from the bed then put my briefs on. “I’ll get it.”

Grabbing the sheet from the bed, she hastily wrapped it around her nude body.

Wearing a huge smile on my face and feeling pretty damned amused, I headed to the door. Life with Glory would never be boring. This, I already knew. Still grinning, I opened the door.

Liberty had his fist up as if he was about to knock again. Lowering it, he glanced down at my briefs. Then his shocked gaze moved up to pause at my bare chest before ending up on my face.

Fate stood next to him and he looked concerned too. “Where’d the blood come from, Doc?” he asked.

Liberty scoffed. “This man is dating Glory, bro. He’s in danger everyday.”

These twins were always joking. I laughed. “I had a bloody nose. It isn’t a big deal.”

While looking flabbergasted, Liberty exclaimed, “She punched you?”

“In the nose?” Fate asked as he kept shaking his head. “Legend, maybe you should reconsider dating our sister. I mean at least for the sake of your safety.”

“You two morons!” Glory growled at them as she stepped in next to me. “I did not hurt him on purpose.”

“Yeah, yeah.” Liberty tisked as he chided, “Boyfriend abuse is a very serious subject, sis. We might have to do an intervention.” He grinned at her.

Fate nodded. “Maybe even bring in a therapist.”

Looking annoyed, Glory opened her mouth to tell them off.

I placed my arm around her shoulder, tucking her close to me and told them, “It was totally an accident. There has been no violence, guys.”

“Yeah!” Glory snapped. “But there might be some violence perpetrated on the both of you if you don’t quit with your BS. And let’s not forget that it is not any of your business.” She scoffed.

Fate shrugged. “We are members of the Requiem MC.”

“Yes and that means the safety of another member is our business.” Liberty nodded.

Exasperated, Glory asked, “So why are you two goofs here?”

“Goofs?” Looking insulted, Fate tucked his head back.

Liberty huffed as he crossed his large arms over his chest and said, “I take exception to that remark, Glory. Mainly because Fate is the only goof present here.”

They never stopped, even when they pushed her too far. I kept chuckling as I asked, “Ok, guys, so why are you really here?”

“Well, it isn’t everyday that someone sends a limo, ya know?” Liberty stated.

“Yeah,” Fate agreed. “One that was only meant for the very rich or for movie stars.”

“I wasn’t filthy rich but I was sort of a star, you know,” Liberty told Fate.

“Almost is not good enough,” Fate replied. “And this level of a limo beats any of the ones you rented.”

Glory rolled her eyes. “Can you two just answer the question?”

“The question?” Legend asked though he wiggled his brows which told us he knew what she was talking about.
