Two months ago on the freeway…
Suddenly, the limo swerved to the right then back to the left. Oscar barely kept a hold of the wheel.
“The hell?” Rocky said as he tapped the button to lower the window between the front seat and the backseats.
We saw Glory scooting over to tap her window button. After it went down, she rose up and leaned out of it.
Legend looked like he might have a heart attack as he yelled, “Glory! What are you do—” The car swerved again, cutting him off.
“We are under attack!” I called out to them as I watched what was happening on the road. “They're shooting at your enforcers. Stay down!”
“Motherfuckers!” Glory swore as she tossed a bottle out the window at them.
Legend rose up, wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her back inside.
“Let me go, Legend!” she seethed.
“You’ll get hurt!” he told her.
“They need me…let go!” she screamed at him.
He shook his head then released her.
Diving back over, she grabbed her gun from her waistband and leaned her torso out. Shots rang out as she emptied her Magnum at whatever target was out there.
We were in the front seat doing the same, sticking our guns out. We worried she might catch a bullet just as a screeching metallic sound nearly deafened us all. We looked into the rearview mirror and saw a car rolling as it hit the guardrail running along the freeway.
“Yeah, die, fucker!” Glory yelled out the window.
Our car again swerved a bit as she grabbed another clip from her back holster. Expelling the old one from her gun, sheshoved the new one in. She then leaned back over to the window, looking back and forth.
We had just reloaded too and we tried to get some hits in. Then a roaring sound came up close to the limo. A huge monster-like truck on high tires came at us now and rammed the back of the limo.
The violent lurch knocked me and Rocky forward as we almost ate the dashboard.
It didn’t move Glory though as Legend had a hold of her lower body. Now, she shouted from the open window, “Oh no, you didn’t!” She took aim and shot at the big truck until her current clip was empty too.
In the front, we climbed back up as I leaned out the window to take shots until I ran out of bullets. We didn’t hit much as we were at the wrong angle.
Turning to look over at Glory, Rocky exclaimed, “You got ‘em!”
“Yeah,” I had to agree. “Damn, Miss Glory, that was a helluva shot. You wrecked that monster truck.”
“Are Duke and Steel okay?” Legend asked us about the two Requiem bikers from his MC.
I was looking at them coming up beside us in the lane as he asked me this and I told him, “Si, they managed to shoot back and not wreck their motorcycles. But Miss Glory literally saved their big asinis.” I laughed.
“Amazing!” Rocky added.
“Oscar, you did great outmaneuvering those assholes,” Glory told our driver.
He shook his head as he still white-knuckled the steering wheel. “Wasn’t hard after you blew them to hell, Miss Glory.”
I nodded my head at Valencia as I finished my story, “Glory is a badass.”
“She was raised with four brothers and an MC though,” Rocky pointed out. “So, that’s why she’s badassy.”
“Badassy?” Valencia asked as she laughed. “I can tell you and Tito are brothers.”
