CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
MATTEO
Ashiver wracked Arianna’s slim body at my words, causing all the blood to rush to my cock.
I needed to take it slow with her, but I never thought I’d find her here, in the middle of the planetarium, touching herself while the moon kissed her face.
Ah, fuck.
She was turning me into a goddamned poet.
She sat up as I kneeled next to her, inhaling the scent of her arousal deep into my lungs.
“What are you doing here?” Her voice trembled, and she yanked her hand from her underwear. I caught her wrist and brought it to my lips, sucking her drenched fingers dry. One by fucking one.
“I wired the room’s security to your school card. I get a notice every time you enter the room.”
“Stalker.”
“Only when it comes to you.” I nipped the tip of her index finger and she yelped, but she didn’t try to pull herself free. “Now tell me. Who were you thinking about?”
When she didn’t answer, I lifted her chin with two fingers. A visible tremor rolled through her body while she watched me, a storm brewing in those eyes that had a firm hold on me.
“Eric Northman.”
“Who the fuck is that?” She opened her mouth to answer, but I immediately stopped her. “No matter, he’ll be dead by morning.”
Her lips curved into a smile.
“Fine, I lied. I was fantasizing about Simon Basset.”
The name sounded familiar, but I couldn’t quite place it. “Do I know him?”
She smiled sweetly, looking at me with shimmering eyes. “You do.”
My teeth ground. It had to be one of the Yale boys, but there wasn’t a corner on this earth they could hide from me now. Eric Northman and Simon Basset were dead men.
“You’ve consumed me since we were eight, Ari,” I murmured, brushing my nose against hers. “You’re the one for me. You’ll be the one in every life, every universe, every scenario. You’ll forget those men.”
She paused before taunting, “And if I don’t?”
“They can get a quick death or a very slow and painful one. It’ll be up to you, Nutella girl.”
She lifted her chin in defiance. “You can’t act all possessive and then go along with Hannah when she refers to you as myfuture brother-in-law.”
My brows furrowed, trying to recall when she said that. Most of the time, I tuned Hannah right out. “When in the fuck did she say that?”
She released a deep breath, resigned and frustrated. “At that stupid party in the woods. You didn’t even correct her.”
She’s jealous.
The thought shot through me victoriously, and I grinned. She was mine, even though she hadn’t fully admitted it yet.
“It’s not funny, Matteo.” Despite the night, I could see her cheeks were a deep shade of red.
I took her chin between my fingers and pulled her closer.
“When you’re around, I only see you. If I didn’t protest to your sister saying that, it’s because I was homed in onyou. Only ever you.”
