I heard my phone ping with a text as I sunk into the velvet cushion.
Matteo: Have a gift for you. Come to my room.
I smiled and my fingers flew across the screen as I typed.
Me: Are you trying to corner me and take advantage of me?
Me: Oh wait, you just did that.
Matteo: Can’t get enough of you. Need my on your and my in your .
Me: Even your texts are filthy.
Matteo: Meet me in my room and I’ll show you how much better it can be in person.
Me: Be there in five minutes. Better deliver.
Matteo: Cross my heart and hope to die. Now get over here. Want your smothering my face.
My breathing hitched and I started to fan myself, that familiar throbbing ache between my legs. It didn’t matter that we’d just hooked up under the stairs, I still craved him. At this rate, I was going to become insatiable for him.
“You okay?” Gianna glanced over at me, her eyes narrowing on my flushed cheeks.
“Yes, of course. I’ll be right back, just going to… Hmmm… Yeah… I’ll be right back.”
I left the room and made my way down the hall to Matteo’s bedroom. Before I could knock, the door opened and he pulledme inside, shutting the door behind me and pressing me against it.
“Took you long enough,” he rasped, his mouth on my neck.
“Had a dress emergency,” I murmured, shifting my head to the side to allow him better access and pushing my fingers through his hair.
“Ah, speaking of a dress,” he murmured, skimming his mouth all over my neck. “I have a gift for you.”
“Why do you think I’m here?”
He pulled back, smiling. “So enthusiastic…” He waggled his eyebrows at me. “And that smile. One day, it will be all for me.”
I smacked him playfully on his forearm. “I’m already excited when I see you. Don’t be greedy. Gimme my gift?—”
“At least I’ll know what to do when you’re mad at me,” he said with a laugh, then pulled me toward the box sitting on the bed. I frowned, following him to the bed where a red velvet box sat with a gold label markedValentino.
My eyes were locked on the box as I carefully lifted the lid and pulled back the layers of tissue paper. I gasped when I saw the pool of deep red silk.
“Oh my gosh, Matteo,” I breathed, holding the delicate material against my body.
He chuckled, but I could tell he was pleased.
I twirled around like a ballerina, then stopped in front of him and kissed him on the lips. “I got you matching shoes too. Does that earn me another kiss?”
I squealed, then kissed him again. “Yes. A million kisses. Are they also Valentino?”
“No, something from the latest Louboutin collection.” My eyes widened, but it was impossible to keep the grin from my face. I was already kicking off my shoes and pulling the straps of my summer dress off my shoulders, and suddenly I was glad I hadn’t had time to change yet.
Matteo’s heated gaze locked on my lacy bra, sending a thrill down my body. We just hooked up, yet every time he looked at me it felt like it was the first time.
“You’re just going to watch me or…” I smiled seductively.
“I could watch you all day, baby. You make me want to be a painter, a sculptor… someone that could immortalize you for all eternity.”
