“Miss Emily, how was my presentation? Did you like the designs?” he asked, his eyes bright with anticipation.

Emily smiled brightly, gesturing to the display. “You’ve missed a few things,” she said. She meticulously explained every detail he could improve.

Harold listened intently, occasionally smiling at her insights. At one point, he chuckled and asked, “Why does it look like you like jewelry designing more than anything else in the world?”

Emily laughed. “I like shiny things,” she said.

Harold’s grin widened. “Shiny things, huh? Well… then you should look at my abs when I’m sweaty at the gym.” He lifted his shirt flirtatiously. “I exercise daily. Want to touch?”

Jeremy, sitting across from them and watching the exchange unfold, stared at Harold with disbelief. “How are you such a pick-me drama character, always trying to flirt with the main lead to seduce her?” he muttered.

Harold ignored him completely.

Amelia walked side by side with Lucas, a stack of files in her hands, as they made their way through the corridors of the Almaty Hotel after a client meeting.

She had pulled her white pencil skirt slightly higher, exposing more of her thighs than necessary, and popped open an extra button on her shirt. “Lucas, once you get this project, maybe I can move into your office permanently instead of working from my private office at my home,” she suggested casually.

As they passed a meeting room, Lucas’s gaze drifted inside—and froze. Inside, he saw a young man lifting his shirt, showing Emily his abs, and the flirtatious words he had spoken.

Rage boiled inside Lucas. His fists clenched as he stormed toward the room, but Amelia grabbed his arm.

“Lucas, what are you doing? You shouldn’t go in there,” she warned.

He yanked his arm free and pushed past her, bursting into the meeting room. “What the fuck are you doing?” he snapped, his voice fierce as he approached Emily and Harold.

Emily immediately tried to step between them, but Harold placed a firm hand on her arm and gently pulled her back.

“Don’t worry, Miss Emily,” he said calmly. “I’ll handle him.”

Harold had already heard all the rumors about Lucas and Emily’s relationship in recent days. After developing a crush on her, he had practically stalked her social life to figure out what she liked and disliked so he could flirt with her. By now, he alsoknew that Lucas wasn’t good for Emily. Especially after the way Lucas had treated her at the club.

Jeremy reached out from behind and pulled Emily closer to him. “Don’t get into a fight, Emily—you’ll get hurt,” he said firmly.

Lucas’s eyes darkened the moment Jeremy’s hand touched Emily’s arm. He sidestepped Harold, trying to reach her.

“Emily, Are you really going to act like this just to make me jealous?” he demanded.

Harold immediately stepped in front of him, blocking his vision of Emily. He pressed a hand firmly against Lucas’s chest and pushed him back.

“Mr. Cantrell, do you want the media and the whole world to know that you already have a fiancée, and still you’re harassing Emily?”

Amelia rushed to Lucas’s side, grabbing his arm. “Lucas, don’t be impulsive,” she urged, glancing briefly at Emily before lowering her voice. “Don’t ruin your reputation over her.”

Around them, whispers were already spreading. Amelia’s sharp ears caught every word.

“I heard Mr. Cantrell is engaged—so what’s going on here?” one voice murmured.

“Could it be that Emily was telling the truth all along, that Lucas is her boyfriend?” another speculated.

“I don’t think so… but something’s definitely off,” someone else said.

The gossip made Amelia’s temper spike. She turned her full attention on Emily, her voice rising with fury. “Emily, why are you still trying to seduce my fiancée? Even now? Does it makeyou feel good to humiliate yourself and try to steal another woman’s man?”

Emily’s patience snapped. “Seduce your fiancée? He’s the one acting crazy. Can’t you use your brain to understand what’s going on here?”

Amelia’s voice rose higher. “I understand everything perfectly! Lucas is the owner of a global company while you’re… nothing. Nobody would even look at you if Mr. Graves hadn’t taken pity on you and given you that one damn project. Do you really think anyone would even know your name if you weren’t using Lucas’s name everywhere pretending you’re his girlfriend?”
