“I like that ride, too,” I say. “It’s outstanding landscaping.”

He tugs on my arm. “Wait, we need to stop here first.” We walk into the guest center and get pins that say “Just Married,” and for the rest of our day at Disneyland, we’re congratulated by every cast member we see—and a lot of other people as well. We get the Small World song stuck in our heads and laugh at the bad jokes on the Jungle Cruise, and in short, we have an amazing time.

I hold his hand the entire day. “When we get home, do you want to make some new vision boards?” I ask. “Because I think you’re on your way to getting everything on the most recent one.”

“Still need a million dollars,” he reminds me.

“We’ll get money. What else do you want?”

Shelby shrugs and looks around at people in Jedi costumes walking around in what he callsStar WarsLand. “Think we can find someone here to talk to about galactic HR practices?”

I laugh. “Sure. And let’s go on theMillennium Falconto see how well it banks in space.”

“I’ll check them for galactic OSHA violations.” He smiles, then his expression turns achingly sincere. “I don’t know what else I want to put on a vision board. All I know is that I want to spend my future with you.”

“Good thing that’s what I want, too.” We line up for the next ride, happy to be here.

And this is only the beginning. I have a lifetime of showing him how much I love him to look forward to.
