“Yeah, nigga. Now I have a situation. At present I have my gun on one of your guys and six of yours have their guns on me. You know how I get down. I’m more than willing to pull this trigger and I’m sure as soon as I do these little niggas are going to drop me. If that happens, DP is going to turn your shit upside down. Considering you’re already in the middle of something with the Lords, that might not work in your favor. You have ten seconds to tell your people to show some respect or it is what it is.”

“Ay, y’all stand the fuck down.”

“Come on, City. This nigga got Dex hemmed up for no reason.”

Dex. Yeah, muthafucker, I got you.

“What are you doing?” I heard Yahzi’s voice but didn’t lift my eyes.

“Go back in the fucking room.”

“I’m not…”

“Yah, take your ass back in that room, now,” I growled and two seconds later I heard footsteps and the door slam.

“Aight, City, what’s it gon’ be? We starting a war or not?”

He was quiet for a minute before he made the right call. Even if City wasn’t the cause, Kassir would drop everyone he loved behind me, same as I would do for him. He didn’t want to risk that.

“Stand the fuck down now because if either one of y’all dumb asses pops off and that shit lands on me, you’re gon’ see me in the worst way.”

It took a minute but I heard the movement behind me. “Now get the fuck out.”

I kept my eyes on Dex whose jaw tensed. No matter his rank with East Street, City was in charge, which meant he had to follow orders. That was one reason Kassir and I started our own shit. Wasn’t no way in hell either of us would have another man telling us how we could move.

Eventually Dex cowered and tried to step around me but I moved to block his path. “Nah, you stay.”

“Dex, you good?” one of them called out and he nodded stiffly.

“Yeah, I’m good.”

After the door closed and I knew we were alone, I called Yahzi, who hesitantly stepped into the living room.

“You fucking with him?” I kept my eyes on Dex just in case he grew a set of balls and wanted to try me. When Yahzi didn’t answer, I smiled arrogantly.

“She let you fuck her?”

“Leem…”

One second he was smiling and the next I was flipping my gun in my hand right before that shit crashed against his face. Blood flew from his mouth and I hit him a second time with more force. He stumbled and tripped over the table behind him. My foot came up and I snapped his head back when it made contact. I stomped his ass out until Yahzi shoved me back, screaming for me to stop.

My eyes narrowed on her when I pulled out of it. “Get your shit and let’s go.”

She glanced down at Dex then left the living room. When she was gone, I fisted his shirt and yanked him up. “I don’t know how much you value your position under City but I hope you’re smart enough to value your life. If you come for me, or even think about coming for her, there’s not a person on earth who can stop me from ending not just you but anyone you care about. Understand?”

He nodded and I let him go. He dropped to his knees and struggled to get up but managed to stumble up out of there. I walked down the hallway, searching for the bedroom, and leaned against the door frame watching Yahzi move around her room, shoving shit into a duffle bag. There was a suitcase already by the door. She wouldn’t look at me and she didn’t say a word, but I could tell from her movements she was upset. I didn’t give a fuck. She called me, she knew how I was coming behind her.

Since she refused to give me her attention, I took my time taking her in. Not much had changed in three years. Yahzi was a beautiful woman, flat round face, cute ass little nose, and diamond shaped eyes that changed colors in the light. Theywere brown like honey but when the sun caught them shits they glowed like tiger stones.

My baby was thick too. The jean shorts she wore had them thick legs on display along with that ass which sat nice. She had a softness to her that I loved to grab on, especially them thick thighs I spent a lot of time between. Her little pretty chocolate ass had me all fucked up in the game back then and not much had changed. I would give this woman the world, whether she asked for it or not. There weren’t many people who had my unyielding loyalty but Yahzi was for sure at the top of that short list.

“If you were fucking gang niggas, you should have just stayed.”

She turned and glared at me but didn’t say anything so I did. “Oh, so you fuck with gang niggas, just not me.”

She crossed the room, put them little ass hands on my chest, and shoved me. I was a big muthafucker so I didn’t move except to grab her arm and yank her into my chest. “You mad because I’m stating facts?”

“It’s not a fact. I didn’t know he was East Street until after we were together. When I found out, I ended things.”
