Hands grab at my shoulders, trying to pull me away. I shrug them off, pressing harder, my vision tunneling until all I can see is Pinky’s terrified face.
“Killer, let her go!” Reign’s voice pierces through the fog of my rage. “BROTHER! STOP!”
More hands join his, and suddenly Dread is there too, both of them wrenching me backward. I fight against their hold, but I’m no match against the two of them.
“You bitch,” I spit as they drag me away from her. “She’s GONE!”
Pinky slides onto her butt, coughing and gasping, one hand at her throat. Tears stream down her face, leaving black trails of mascara on her cheeks.
“I’m sorry,” she croaks, huddling in on herself. “I thought she knew.”
I shrug Reign and Dread off, my chest heaving. I can hear the blood rushing in my ears. I feel like I’m going to explode if I don’t hit something.
“You did this!” I bark, pointing a finger at her.
“No. You did this.”
I spin around, fixing Zero with a murderous glare. The club’s hacker doesn’t back down, meeting my gaze steadily through his thick glasses.
“What the fuck did you just say to me?” I take a step toward him.
He doesn’t flinch. “I said you did this. I warned you weeks ago to tell her the truth before she found out some other way. You didn’t listen.”
I open my mouth to tell him to fuck off, but I can’t. He did tell me, and I didn’t listen.
“I—”
He holds up a hand and shakes his head. “No time for that shit. We’ve got bigger problems.”
“What is it?” I ask, a sense of dread filling my gut.
“Nikolai.” Zero pushes his glasses up his nose. “He knows where Memphis is.”
The bottom drops out of my stomach. “What? How?”
“I’ve been monitoring his texts,” Zero explains, glancing over at Morpheus, who gives him a slight nod. “There’s a plane waiting for him and an unnamed female passenger at the airfield. It’s scheduled to leave in an hour.”
Ice floods my veins. “Jade’s place,” I whisper, horror dawning. “Does he know she’s at Jade’s?”
Zero nods grimly. “Looks that way.”
No. God, no. This can’t be fucking happening. Not now. Not when I’ve just driven her away from the safety of my protection.
“How the fuck did he find her?” I demand, already moving toward the door.
“We don’t know yet,” Morpheus says, falling in step beside me. “But we’re about to find out.”
I shake my head as images of Memphis being taken, hurt, or worse flood my mind. No. I’ll die before I let that Russian cocksucker get his hands on my woman.
“I’m going to Jade’s,” I announce, not slowing my pace. “NOW.”
“We’re with you, brother,” Chief says, and I hear the scrape of chairs as the rest of my brothers rise to follow.
Bursting through the doors, I jump onto my bike and peel out of the parking lot, not bothering to check if they’re following. I know they are. Saints don’t fuck around when trouble knocks at our door.
Hold on, baby. I’m coming.
In no time, Jade’s apartment complex comes into view, and I skid into the parking lot, not bothering to kill the engine before I’m off the bike and running for the stairs. My brothers are right behind me, but I don’t wait. I can’t. I have to find my girl.
