“I’m going to come,” I say, before clenching around him. The movement making him crash right after me.
I fall forward and rest my head on his chest. “Well now we know we can have a nooner,” he says, laughing.
I kiss his chest before kissing his lips, halfway to falling in love with him already. “We should get dressed before they show up.”
“In a minute. I just want to hold you for a second.”
Swoon.

For the secondtime today the doorbell rings and another one of my guys stands in front of me.
“Hey,” I say, opening the door, and looking behind him as if I’m expecting the rest of them to pour out of the elevator.
“Hey, can I come in?” he asks, putting his tattooed forearms into his jean pockets.
“Sure,” I step back, allowing him entry before closing the door. “What’s up?” I ask.
“I had to see you. Talk to you alone. There’s a lot of stuff that I want to say and doing it in front of the others didn’t sit well with me.”
“You’re freaking me out a little,” I say, leading him into the living room and taking a seat on the sofa, legs tucked underneath me.
“I’ve been thinking about what you asked of us and I know I agreed to it...”
He lets the sentence hang in the air. A flame of embarrassment comes over me and I move further away from him on the couch.
“You don’t want me?” I ask,
“No, that’s not it. I want you more than anything in this world. You’ve always been the one I’ve wanted.”
“What is it then? The sharing? The fact that you won’t get the title of husband?”
“It’s all of that and none of it.”
“Wow, Marcello. You need to make up your mind. I can’t stand in limbo waiting for you.”
He gets up from his seat and paces in front of the TV. “You don’t think I want to be less conflicted? I’m a fucking man, Jack. A man who works for the most powerful government in the world, and you want me to bend to your will. Just take it up the ass, so to speak.”
I pop up from my seat and get in his space. “This is about your ego? That you wouldn’t be man enough if you went through with it?”
“Why aren’t I good enough?” he roars.
I’m stunted for a moment, stuck in myself. “This isn’t about worth, Marcello. It’s about survival. Everything I’ve ever wanted is so close. You can’t give me the things the others can, but you can give me protection. You can give me the love you feel, and eventually I’ll give it back to you. I care for you.”
I try to take his hand in mine, but he steps out of the way. I frown hoping he doesn’t leave. I don’t know if I could go on without him. He’s a part of this, just as much as the others.
“That’s the problem, Jack. No one is able to give me what I want. You’re only willing to give me a third of it.”
“My heart isn’t broken up into sections. I want you, as I want the others. My love is enough for us, trust me.”
“How can I?”
He sits down on the couch and places his head in his hands, running through his inky hair. I approach, softly, grabbing his face to look at me. His blue eyes are tearful, something I didn’t think I’d ever see on a mountain of a man like Marcello.
“Trust is all we have. Love and all the rest will come with time. But know that I will respect you, fight for you, and give you everything at my disposal. You’ll never feel left out or like a side piece.”
He laughs, but grabs the back of my thighs and pulls me closer. He rests his chin on my stomach and I take the moment to run my hands through his silky hair, rubbing his eyebrow crease away.
