Yaya agreed, “Okay, I got you.”
When Reema was gone, she hurried and got dressed promising herself that today was the day she turned over a new leaf. She was going to start off small and make it her business to help Reema build up the Glam Shop and really try to start a new clean life, the fact that she actually accepted what her real problem was and got to the source of it was a really big deal to her. She found a Dunkin Donuts and purchased two bagels with cream cheese and two iced coffees along with a box of donuts for the shop.
It took her a little over an hour to get there since the GPS always took her in circles but when she arrived, she parked and grabbed everything she needed, Reema’s car was parked out front, so she knew she had to be inside, she pushed her way through the doors and sat everything down. “Reema!” She called her name walking to the back figuring she was probably grabbing fresh towels and stuff to put out. “Reemaaaa!” She called again when she didn’t get an answer. She noticed the bathroom light was on and figured she must’ve been in there. “Reema!” She knocked. “These fuckin’ bagels gonna be cold as ice, come on before clients get here.”
When she still didn’t get a response, she turned the knob opening the door, what she saw almost brought everything up out of her stomach. “Reemaaaaaa! Noooo!” She screamed dropping on her knees in front of her trying to check her pulse. Blood was everywhere, she was able to see that Reema’s throat was slit from ear to ear, and she wasn’t able to find a pulse at all. She noticed something sitting on the ground by Reema’s shoe. A napkin with some scribbling on it:Blame the bitch Yaya.
Balling the napkin up, she put it in her back pocket and reached in her bag for her gun, there was only one person who was behind this and he purposely came and killed Reema just to prove a point to her and the fact that somebody lost their life behind some shit that had nothing to do with them was beyond anything she could’ve ever expected to happen. She had to get the fuck out of there making sure she took another napkin and wiped down anything she thought she possibly touched. With a blurred vision, she wiped her tears and shook her head,I’m so sorry Reema. She mumbled before running up out of there.
She was beyond paranoid, and she knew in her heart she met her match; she had finally run into the wrong nigga. As soon as she got in the car her phone was ringing, and she almost passed out when she saw Snake calling. “What the fuck is wrong with you!” She cried, not being able to control her emotions as she zoomed out of there checking her rearview mirrors the entire time. She was trying to make sure she wasn’t being followed.
“Guess you found yo lil friend huh? Still think I’m playin’ with yo ass?” He grilled sounding like a totally different man than the one she’d met.
“She didn’t even do shit to you!” Yaya cried.
“She’s guilty by association, fuck that…and fuck you too! You gon’ learn about playin’ with niggas emotions cause I’mma be the one to show you.” He hung up on her.
Yaya pulled over on the side of the road and cried even harder as she balled her fist and punched the steering. “Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” She cried. She knew she had to get the fuck out of there, making sure she wasn’t followed, she went back on the other side of the town to her room and ran inside to pack her shit. For the first time in a long time, she was scared, and she was the one who usually wasn’t scared of shit.
She paced back and forth with her gun in her hand not knowing what to do besides just leave Texas the fuck alone.Never in a million years would she have thought she would be calling Boom to save her, but he was the only nigga that had ever been in her corner. “Boom!” She sat on the bed hysterically crying.
Boom sat up in his bed ignoring the young tender he had just got finished fucking the shit out of, one thing about it, a man was gone get him some pussy. “Yaya?” He checked his phone again making sure it was her, she never cried about shit, and he could tell something was really wrong, if that nigga Snake put his hands on her, he was on the first flight fucking him up. “What happened, did that nigga touch you?!” He snapped hopping up putting his shirt on.
“It’s worse than that Boom! Please come take a flight here and come get me, I’m scared to even leave this muthafuckin’ room by myself, please I’m begging!”
Boom knew this shit was gonna happen that’s why he tried to warn her ass, but he couldn’t let shit happen to her, he wasn’t on that shit at all. “Look, text me all the info, I’m goin’ straight to the airport right now and booking the first flight out aiight? Try to calm down and just stay put, don’t answer the fuckin’ door for nobody and if that nigga make it up there before I do, you better put that muthafucka to sleep!”
She nodded her head trying to calm down, “Okay…please hurry up, I’m just ready to get the fuck back home.”
“I’m coming ma, stay put.” He told her hanging up.
Yaya knew the flight itself was about three hours or so and she was hoping that he was able to get an immediate flight out and didn’t have to wait too long. The entire time she sat in that room, she must’ve jumped at every sound she heard, ready to shoot right through the door. She managed to cry herself to sleep and woke up about six hours later to knocking on her door. She hesitated to even go and open it, looking through the peep hole first and with her gun by her side, she breathed a sigh of reliefwhen she saw that not only Boom was at the door but so was C2. The fact that they came for her was more than she could’ve ever asked for and she felt something and knew it had to be real, and that was the love.
The minute she opened the door she flew in his arms and cried, “Oh my God! You came.” She broke down. “Thank you thank you thank you!”
He held her in his arms still confused but he walked her back inside while C2 locked the door behind them. Boom felt her shaking and that shit pissed him off, he gently pushed her back checking for bruises and shit. “What happened Ya? Calm down, have a seat real quick.” He told her making her sit in the chair.
She wrapped both her arms around her body and cried rocking back and forth, “He killed her,” she said. “That nigga killed Reema, all because of me, cause she was guilty by association.”
Boom and C2 were both confused. “Who is Reema?” They asked at the same time.
“Reema was my friend who was helping me out here. I was with her when I met that nigga Snake, but I cut him off when I got back and he didn’t like it. He started threatening me and all kind of shit, then he went and killed Reema to show me how serious he was.”
“Fuck!” Boom kicked the little trash can, “I told you about that nigga.”
“I’m sorry.” She replied.
C2 looked around not liking the feeling of being naked without his burner on him cause he couldn’t get on a flight with that shit. “Yaya, you got some guns around this bitch or is that the only one?” He asked, referring to the one she was holding.
“No.” She stood up and went to her bag passing them her 380 and her 45.
“You got everything?” Boom asked her.
“Yeah, it’s right there.” She pointed to her bags by the door.
“Aiight look, we driving back so let’s take this shit to your car and get you the fuck up outta here.” He told her grabbing her stuff.
C2 blew hard, “Man this shit here is just crazy, we can’t catch a break for shit my nigga. It gotta be light at the end of this tunnel…I know it.”
