Me: You know I love your spoiled ass.
Mi Corazón: U better. I’m getting sleepy. Finally.
Me: Sleep, love. Text when you get up.
When I look back up, Tyshon is still in front of me, glaring with a smirk on her face. “You be easy, Serious,” she says before stepping closer. She leans up and I don’t stop her. We’ve been fucking around for a minute now. It isn’t her fault that she isn’t Rebel. So when she places a kiss on my cheek, I don’t stop her. After staring at me for a moment, she grins a little then says, “She’s one lucky girl.”
“Nah. The lucky one is me.”
She walks off and I look up to check on Kassan. He and Tyriq are actually back in line.
Chapter 10
Rebel
As soon as I open my eyes, I have to pee.Shit!I pick up my phone and see it’s almost three. I actually slept and now I need to figure out how to get to this damn bathroom with this ankle, ice pack, and pillow thingy.
Only I would sprain my damn ankle and fall on the ground in all white!
While shaking my head at my own dumb luck, I debate texting Kassir but I don’t think I can wait for him. My bladder is about to burst; I really have to pee.Shit!
After taking what seems like a decade to sit up, I manage to get my back straight up against his massive, cushioned headboard. Carefully, I scoot over in the bed, drop my right leg off, then start to try and lift my left one. Thankfully, the sound of Kassir’s door alarm saves me.He’s back.
As soon as he walks his sexy self into the room, I blurt out, “Thank God! I’m about to pee on myself.” Without any hesitation, he rushes over to the bed and scoops me. “I just need help to the bathroom. Teaira said I can hop.”
“I can’t have you hopping and pissing on my floor,” he says, teasing me as I try to hold in my laughter.
“Don’t make me laugh; I’ll pee for real,” I tell him as he carries me to his bathroom.
“Not yo’ extra clean ass; I don’t even have to worry about that,” he says before sitting me on the toilet. When I place my hand on the sink to brace myself to stand, he stops me. “I got you. Place yo’ arms around my neck,” he says and I comply.
He lifts me then pulls my panties down.
“I can handle that.”
“Shit. Me too.”
“Isn’t Kassan with you? Go grab my clothes so I can put something on while I do this.”
“That white is fucked up. Teaira sent your bag. She left with my boy then brought it back.”
“What boy?” I ask, curious as hell.
“I’ll let her tell you,” he says before watching me pull my panties down further then ease onto the toilet.
“Kassir,” I snap but he ignores me and just walks out. When he returns, he has my bag from Teaira. My bladder is empty and I managed to hobble to the sink and wash my hands. “Thanks. Put it in the room so I can get dressed.”
“Bet but stay right there,” he orders. Because I’m hard headed and like to be self-sufficient, I ignore him. When he walks off, I use his long sink and wall as anchors as I hop to the door. I thank God the entire time that it’s not my right ankle though. I also pray that Teaira is right and I’ll be fine in a few days. The thought of not being able to run is starting to worry me. “I thought I told you to stay put,” he fusses when he sees me.
“You can help me to the bed,” I concede.
He rushes over and assists me to his bed. While sitting down, I put on my dress and use my fingers to make my hair look presentable. Then, without arguing with him, I allow him to help me out into the living room. The mini version of Kassir is sitting on the sofa playing some video game. He has his father’s samecomplexion, dark eyes, and side profile. My heart stalls for a moment. I can’t lie; it hurts a little to see him. I always thought that me and only me would bear his children. Kassan is an adorable but sad reminder that my dream is no longer a reality.
“Hey,” I muster out with a smile and he turns back toward us.He has his father’s smile too.
“Hi,” he says, then turns back to his game.
As we walk to the sofa, Kassir says, “Pause that so you can meet Miss Rebel the right way.”
