“Thank you for coming tonight. As promised, food and drinks are free to women and kids. Phoenix Rising is honored to kick off this women’s movement.” I wait for laughing, yelling and shocked cursing to die down. A man is trying to pull his woman away. I’ll stop that shit.
“Brothers!” I give them a second. “No one leaves until I’m done.” A Security Brother stops the guy my eyes are on. “Good job. Now, we have recently been made aware of ongoing issues women are having in town. My Brothers and I don’t allow the mistreatment of women in any way, shape, or form, so we have a proposition to make.
“If your man abuses you in any way, call us, we’ll remove him. What we want back, help us. Let us know if you see a woman being hurt, bruises she won’t talk about. We can’t help if we don’t know.
“If your man is just an asshole and you want him out, tell us. We’ll take care of it for you.” People laugh at my helpful tone.
I lower my pitch. “If you see, hear or know of a man that’s abusing kids, call me personally, email the Club, let Freedom, Victory or Seren know, catch a Brother riding and ask him to pull over, but tell us.
“We are a Club that understands that women and kids are our life. Without them we face extinction. It isn’t rocket science. We take care of those that can’t take care of themselves. We do that with your help. In the spirit of help, we have a Level five black belt in Krav Maga willing to teach any woman to defend herself. See Freedom at the art store. She’ll be setting up classes at the dance studio. Victory will help you out with household items. Ant Irma will help teach your teenagers about helping those that can’t help themselves. Seren is willing to help anyone with anything. She has job openings because men were teaching her a lesson. Being a woman isn’t a crime. We have women right here willing to help and I’ve got a Club of Brothers that are willing to show you what real appreciation looks like.”
I’m waiting for the cheering to die down again. I’m glad when it does, I have a schedule to keep. “For the men that think you are untouchable, we found a group of pussies that thought the same thing. I have eight right here.” I point and the tarps on the Hardware store fall showing men hanging and an old man trying to bounce out of his chair.
“There are three at the studio and two at the art store. You can be next.” I smile getting a laugh back. “They thought that vandalizing women’s businesses was the way to teach them a lesson. I say we teach them one.” Pointing at the firemen, I smile again. “For a dollar that will go to help feed the homeless, you can clean these assholes up. The fire station will help too.”
Fuck. People are running toward us. The Brothers are laughing. “To remind the women before I go. We will help you. You can bet it will be dirt cheap. Listen to every word of the song that says what I can’t.” With a nod to the DJ, I wave to the crowd heading right for Seren as ‘Dirty Deeds’ starts playing like we’re in an amphitheater.
She almost crawls up me to kiss me. When she leans back, she laughs. “Thank you!” Her legs go around me as she hugs me. She’s not moving so I don’t. I love the hugs but won’t admit it to anyone but her. Well, I did tell her, but won’t ever again.
“Lead and Enforce. Nicely done, Cort.” Freedom has me spinning. I don’t let Seren go but nod.
Screaming has the DJ turn the music up. I laugh at the pussies getting hosed.
Walking into the pizzeria, I put Seren down. The music is loud but not bad. “I need to get to a meet. You have coverage at nine still, or you need to be here?”
“No, my other trainer is outside with her family. She let me know she’ll be in. I got two new Prospects. Closing has one in dishwasher position and one on trash. Are they okay to close?”
I smile. She’s cute. “With you, no. They’re not allowed alone with an ol’ lady. Most times that’d be an overlooked situation as long as two were in the building. I’m President. It will never be overlooked because of rival threats, money or any other reason people can think of to fuck with me. They will schedule different for you. Security is in place so it shouldn’t ever come up.”
“Nine will be good then.”
I kiss her lips and move.I need to get to the Club. The Officers follow.
Web has the architect up on the screen. We go over everything he can think of and I need a fucking drink. The guy should have sent a report or checklist for me to ‘Yes or No’ it.
The construction foreman is next with the office building giving thirty-one cells on the second floor and twenty-two smaller on the first. Bar, kitchen and a shit load of bathrooms have it working for me. There are two offices, but they’re smaller and not designated.
The hospital has forty-eight rooms surrounding common rooms on the fourth floor. Another thirty-eight on the third, separating Web and his albinos right outside of IT that will be in the old operating rooms. The second has offices, meeting rooms, Ops, Security and HR. First is training and a huge meeting room that looks like a college classroom.
“I like the separate access for the cell floors and IT. The simulator and pop-ups?”
He smiles. “Just outside the range. That would be the ambulance bays on your original plans.”
“This gives me 138 cells then Web’s apartment?”
“Yes, with a but. The rooms are left as-is for the most part. Carpet and paint are all you’re looking at. Most are larger because two patients were in one room. I was told to hold off on splitting them. The size is bigger than dorm rooms and will fit two beds comfortably. We have hallway access restrooms but no showers in them, so splitting double occupancy rooms will cost more upfront.
I look at my Officers. “Giving our long-standing Brothers’ bigger rooms, Prospects and trainees we can double-up?”
With a nod, I turn back. “Prospects at two per room works, they need to be separated from the Brothers.”
He looks at his plan. “Maternity will give you forty-two and a common room.”
I nod looking at the draft. “Trainees - I need room for thirty Brothers double occupancy.”
I watch him search through his plans. “Geriatrics gives you thirty-six and a smaller common room.” The Brothers laugh. I nod.
“Laundry?”
