“It looks like Jordan’s IT and Controls are here. If you don’t mind lending us Falcon and Hade until they’re up, I’d appreciate it.”

“Whatever you need, Major. Jordan can switch teams out as they’re up. We’ll drop out when he does. Web is watching perimeter for all of us and will jump in as he sees a threat. Your yards should be running normal surveillance and Security.”

I watch him nod. “Jordan has everyone updated on how it will work and Ops rooms are readied for alerts from your Ops.” A shit ton of Brothers rush the room and I know they’re IT.

“Roger, Major. It looks like you’re in the middle of a beehive. Call if you need us and keep Hade and Falcon until you’re settled.”

He looks for me on his screen and gives me a two-finger salute. “Roger, I’m out, Cort. Thank you, Brother.”

Jordan drops me from his room and I watch the rest of the screens feeling pretty fucking good. Handing my headset to the albino, I move to the center of the room.

“Web, let me know if you need anything.”

He looks my way and I wait until my words replay for him. “I will, Boss, but you got me the IT and we got Security in all the yards. We’re good mixing with their Brothers, we sent good crews out.”

I nod. “Good job.” He turns back to his computer. The Brother never stops. Raid and Jinx step back now that Falcon and Hade are dropped from Ops. They’re running Controls. Michigan and Colorado are everywhere but the shooting has stopped. Watching Brinks’ screen, I see our Security mixed with Colorado Enforcers.

Jinx points like I’m not watching. “Our Security are good, Boss. They’d be Enforcers in Colorado.”

“Yeah, we’ll bring more up, but getting their Enforcers up to our level is the objective. Finding Enforcers in the apps or from Security will be important. Our Club needs to focus on training, having Controls to run Ops where we’re needed and streamlining apps to keep our combined forces building. Jordan will hook us up tomorrow with his databases and Major will be moving Brothers where they’re needed as we pull Brothers in for training. You already see the need. Every Club is at risk if we drop the ball.”

Amos turns in his seat. He took an IT seat by Web to help out today. “The new Ops room will be kickass. I can’t wait to get into the hospital and see Major and Jordan’s faces when they see it. They think this one is killer, now. Web has even more shit running on hologram boards there.”

“Jordan had a good one too, but he’s impressed with the city Ops room.” Raid throws in.

I’ve had enough. “We know our shit, we just need to do the job. Who is on Ops for the rest of the shift?”

“Brinks and Vick,” Jinx says.

“Brinks, call if you need me.”

He nods talking to his crew. I walk out thinking of how to claim Seren. Her order was supposed to be in today. Now that Badass is restored back in the city, seeing and claiming Seren is my priority.

Before I get to my office, I tell Raid, “I’m riding to the pizzeria.”

“Jinx is on with you, I’ll let him know.” He turns right around making me smile. I know he’s got shit to do with both Falcon and Hade out. Jinx is his help and he’s with me.

Checking email and texts shows nothing pressing. I’ve got Brothers from the other Clubs thanking me and have no idea how to respond so I let it go for now. I’m not into explaining the reason for the merge and don’t feel like I deserve the thanks, but I’m going to have to come up with something. Just not right now.

Jinx is by the front door and our bikes are waiting. I nod at his acknowledgement and hit his back going by. “I’m going to like having new Officers to ride with.”

He’s surprised. “I’m honored, Boss.”

“So am I, Brother. I miss training. It’s been three days.” Taking my helmet from Horn, I throw him chin.

“Hade and Falcon will be back tomorrow, right?” Jinx sounds nervous making me smile.

“Vick, I’m on the side.” I get a roger and turn back to Jinx. “If not, you and Brinks will do. Raid’s got paperwork coming out of his ass. Banks got eight of the liquor stores changed over already.”

“Fuck. I knew about the three printers. You want us to spar with you? You’re going to kill us.”

I laugh heading out of the lot. “I’ve never killed an Officer and it’s sparring. I ran pop-ups and the range this morning, but it’s boring and I’ve got energy to burn.”

He’s quiet until we get to town. “Don’t you run anymore? You have a gym at home too.”

Vick is laughing in my helmet. “If he pussy’s out, I’ll spar with you, Boss.”

“Thanks, Vick, but it’s tradition. I spar with the Officers because they’re the top trainers. Since I don’t train the Brothers, I’m stuck with them.”
