I watch Sharp riding around in circles dragging the dickass by his feet, but my head is flashing through shit that’s important to bikers.
I need to talk to Seren. I’m never going to be a nine-to-fiver. I don’t think she will either, but she needs to hear that shit from me. She’s young and probably hasn’t thought about it. Fuck, no one even talked to her without stammering like a fool. I will. Tonight.
Starting my bike, I’m shocked with the roar around me. The Brothers are coming for Seren’s cut, I guess. I clear my head of the talk and shit I need to say and focus on where I am and what I’m doing.

The pride of seeing my name on her back is incredible. She’s mine. Our first ride is to the lake behind my house. She takes my hand to get off and I keep it then pull her close sliding back and lifting her in front of me. With her legs over mine, I know she’s not hitting the pipes and I can see her face.
“Today was good. Badass was restored in the city with only four injuries and no casualties.”
Her smile hasn’t dimmed since I put the cut on her. I love the unusual blue of her eyes and that perfect smile. I don’t mention it, but I do.
“This is good. I bet the people around the Club are happy. Help is always better than indifference or hurtful.”
I smile shaking my head. “Six-Guns are just bad, human trafficking is one of their businesses. The neighbors won’t have to guard their kids twenty-four/seven and women can go grocery shopping without fear of going missing.”
Her beautiful blue eyes grow huge. “Shit. I’m glad you did whatever you did to help that.”
I nod, nervous as fuck for the shit I’m about to say. “My Officers created the mess. It was up to me to fix it.”
Confusion shows and I explain. I give the details this time. Her tears move me. She understands and it calms me. That calm has me telling her about bikers and our life. Her questions are few, making this easier. It’s been almost an hour and I’m done just waiting for her to answer or ask her questions.
She surprises me kissing my chest. “I don’t remember enough about my mom and dad’s relationship. The only people I saw regularly were Freedom and Victory’s parents. If they appeared, it was usually in bathrobes and I avoided them. Nudist isn’t anything I knew.” She’s got me laughing. Pulling her close I kiss her head. “I was freaked this morning but Freedom asked what my expectations of you are. I didn’t have any. She thought that was good. I’m glad you talked tonight but I think she’s right. I don’t know any other you and I don’t expect anything but who you are. I’m young and just learning about real interaction with people. If this is what I see, it’s what I expect. I don’t know anything else. I love what I know. It’s good enough for me.” With a shrug, she kisses my chin.
My amazing little Goddess with the insight of a forty-year-old says it a lot better than I did. “Then all that’s left is - I love you, my little Kram, my ol’ lady.”
Her giggle and little squeeze make me smile.
My piece clicks in. “Boss, you’re needed at the Club.”
“Sonofabitch.” Hitting my mic, I growl. “What’s going on, Manlin?”
“Raid just said you’re needed, Boss.”
I look at my Goddess and her little smile. This is the only time her face isn’t symmetrical, the right side of her lips is a little higher. Even the flaw is beautiful. “Want to go to the Club with me or home?” I get the full smile thinking I’m a lucky bastard.
“Wherever you are. I get to wear my new vest. I love the logo. It’s like a tribute to you.”
Shaking my head, I laugh and set her down. “Cut and it was meant as a tribute to Badass.”
She shrugs. “Same thing.”
I kiss her for that one.

What the hell is going on? The lot is packed. The fucking grass is packed. Pulling to the front, I laugh. My spot is outlined in condoms, EPT boxes and bottles of booze. Seren seems to like the decorating job.
I warn her. “If they set up games, I’m going to tell you now, deep throating the hot dog is how you win.”
She laughs. “Okay. Never tried a hotdog, it’s got to be better than the banana I learned on.”
Fuck. “A lesson you learned well.”
She’s beaming and I’m already hard. Walking into the Club like this isn’t smart. “Drink before we go in?”
She grabs a bottle but keeps walking. “On the way in. Get your own.”
