“Brinks?”

“I haven’t met with Falcon yet.”

“Web, you need help?”

“Yeah, Boss.”

“Amos, did you offer?”

“Yeah, Boss.”

I put my hand on the table and lean over looking at it. “Seren and a Security team were three seconds from dead. I can’t do it again, Brothers. I loved Jules but Seren is different. There’s nothing for me to fight for without her. I’m giving you the Brothers you need. You’re still hiding shit from me, but this time I’m watching and trying to help. Take the fucking help I send you and use it. Jinx can take half your plate, Raid. Brinks is the other half of you, Falcon. Amos is fucking good on the computer, Web.Youtold me so. I don’t expect you to do more alone but you’re forcingmeto. I’m not scheduled until after lunch and I had to do my job and yours today while you were arguing in Ops. Seren was three seconds from dead. I’ll never make it again and I can’t do it alone. Tell me what you need.”

“Some time to shift work to our help,” Raid says.

I look up at him. “Good. Keep the seconds on Ops and do that today. Falcon, Brinks is with me, decide what his workload is and meet him after hours. I just added more help and I’ll be adding more next week. Shift specific jobs to second tier Officers so they can keep up with their shifts but still be a help to you.”

“Web, what do you need?”

“A Security Brother that’s good on the computer and Amos helping like you planned.”

I nod. “Amos, find Web more help. Shoot for three.”

“Hade?”

“Following Procedure in Ops needs to be addressed. I’ll make it happen. I need help but you’ve given me the people. I’ll use them, Brother.”

I nod. “Banks?”

“I’m good. I could help somewhere if anyone needs me.” He makes me smile.

“I’m not listening to how we got here. I’ve seen it play out and I know. You do too. Let’s fix it and move on.”

“Roger, Boss,” Raid says then they all do.

“Brinks, get a Prospect to bring your gear to the pizzeria. I’m getting lunch.” I walk away and wait at the door for them to go through then lock up.

Everyone but Brinks gets on their bike and leaves. “Good, they’re going to fix this.”

“We will, Boss. They were trying too hard. Today it boiled over.” Brinks is a good and insightful Brother.

“I know. The FBI should have pulled you in, Brother. Since they missed the boat, I’m honored you’re mine.”

He smiles throwing chin and we go across the street for lunch.

I haven’t had the chicken parm sub yet. I smile walking in with a plan.
