They keep going and Freedom makes a second trip for bags. They’re crazy. They bought at least two of every example of ‘what I should be looking for,’ for every possible change in weather including, breezy warm and breezy cool.

When they’re done pairing outfits and explaining footwear, I thank them with hugs. “I’m glad you don’t have me in the Pretty Woman hooker look.”

Freedom laughs. “Cort didn’t go for the Pretty Woman hooker, he went for you. You being comfortable in your new life will be important to him. At the same time, he’s President of a Club that is growing fast and important to the Badass MC in a couple of states. You need to fit in so he’s comfortable without worrying about stupid shit. Nothing here is over the top. It’s sexy, stylish and Badass, that’s the look you’re going for and one he’s used to seeing.”

I nod. I got this. “Thank you. I probably wouldn’t have thought of all this. What am I wearing today?”

Harmony smiles. “Your leather and lace pants and this. It will go great with your cut.” She holds up a half-sleeved white lace blouse that I can see her through.

Pretty Woman hooker look just walked in. “What’s going under it?”

“The red bikini top with the fire on the edges,” Freedom says, not really paying attention. She’s folding clothes.

“Oooh, that will work and fit with the logo. I hope the Prospects brought everything.” I grab a stack of clothes and they follow me to the room.

“This is gorgeous, Seren.” Harmony walks toward the windows.

I keep going hoping my bathing suits are here. “It is. I was shocked when I first saw it too.”

“Where are your clothes?” Freedom asks still looking around the room.

“The dresser with the mirror and here. This is my closet. His is over there.” I walk in to find the pants not bothering to point. She’s already opening drawers.

I have three pairs of leather pants, one are capri style, one blue and the ones that I’m wearing today. A two-and-a-half-inch strip of white lace runs down the outside with leather belt and buckles at the thigh and calf. The belt and buckles look like they’re holding the pants together. I thought they were the perfect balance of sexy and don’t mess with me. The Prospects have them here behind my coats. I smile, they left room in between them.

Harmony meets me at the door. “I love those.”

Freedom laughs. “Last time she wore them we had to beat a fucking douche that was trying to get her against a wall. Victory was pissed. We left before she got the cop she was dancing with’s number.”

I shake my head. “That’s why I haven’t worn them. I’m not worried today. Did you find it?”

She holds the bathing suit up. “Yeah.”

“The Prospects are unbelievable. They moved everything and I didn’t know until the next day. It was all just here.”

“They’re like butlers and shit. You need to get dressed. We’ll get the clothes in here.”

“Aye, Aye, Freedom.” I salute her, dodging the swipe she takes at me and snag the lace top off the bed.

In the bathroom, I’m happily surprised at the way it all looks together. I don’t need to change everything that I have. I just need to wear it different.

When I walk out, Freedom whistles, Melody is in a dress and little plastic heels and Harmony has my cut in her hands and holds it out.

“You look pretty. Areweswimming too?” The hopeful look has me smiling.

Harmony bends to kiss her cheek. “No, baby. You’re going to grandma’s. She’s taking you to a special dinner.”

Melody jumps around then is gone like a shot. She’ll be on the tablet in two seconds.

“The cut,” Freedom says. I look at the time and get it on. She fixes the lace sleeve and decides I’ll do with a nod.

I hug them both and Freedom shoves boots at me. “You are the best. I feel bad that I’m in mostly my clothes. You must have spent a fortune on all the others.”

“You’ll wear them. This is perfect for today. The point isn’t a new look, it’s the right look. This is it,” Harmony says.

She’s right. This is perfect. The fire works with the party being at the new Club and the office Cort showed me last night had it everywhere. Fire is a theme with them. I didn’t see it at the old Club. “You’re perfect. Thanks.”

“I need to get Melody to my mom. I’ll see you at the Club.” With a kiss to my cheek, she’s gone. Melody learned her exit strategy from Harmony.
