Chapter Four
Two days
Freedom
My eyes open and I smile, then hear the shower and stop. Fuck! Jumping up I check the time. It’s before six. What the fuck is he doing up now?
We spent yesterday running into each other and barely eating lunch trying to get information out. While the Brothers were planning, I was with Seren and Lorelei as Victory told them about moving. She’s selling the store building, but I want shit for the As so whatever she’s not taking, I need to move.
She’s taking all the smelly and hippy shit, so it works for me. Seren told me to get the Prospects on it when it’s time. That’s a relief because I have no fucking time to spare.
Ant Irma was getting a bottle for Caelan and called Rex in. She told him the store was for sale and he wants it. Cort’s moving the bar and that would give some room for a dance floor. I just shook my head. The way shit happens is weird, funny and sometimes a little scary.
Since Victory is in happy universe land, I’m happy too. She’s excited about the move and thinks Rex’s offer is the universe helping her get there. She could be right so I didn’t comment.
Cort came in so I was planning my exit. I needed to talk to Ranger, but we ended up fucking, then falling asleep. The man can fuck forever. I think we hit all his living room furniture before the bed. I can’t even remember. It couldn’t have been bad. I smile at that.
Today, I’m in early classes, but not this early. I didn’t hear Ranger’s plans for today. I know we’re meeting up at the Clubhouse later. The door opening surprises me. “Hey, gorgeous. I hope you’re free for dinner before the Club.”
“I am. What time?”
“Six? We’re meeting everyone at eight.” Meeting everyone?
I am never going to get to talk to him tonight. “Is this more planning and I’m alone at the Club?”
He smiles. “I’d never leave you alone at the Club. This is just a night out that we’re meeting up with Brothers for some R&R.”
My smile shows. “Good, I miss talking to you and have a lot to tell you.”
Those hazel eyes are focused on mine right now. “Is everything okay?”
I sit and nod. “Yes, it’s not bad news, just a lot happening.”
He relaxes and smiles. “For me too. I need to go, but I’ll pick you up at six.” I’m lifted and not put down until my head is spinning. The man is damn good at that.
No one has ever lifted and carried me around. I'm close to six foot tall. He doesn’t seem to care. I laugh getting my ass in the shower. I’ll get to talk to him tonight.

Ranger
I watch the two choppers drop-down smiling. Cort is fucking crazy, but he gets shit done. We have two fully experienced teams and most are men I’ve worked with. He bought the fucking choppers too. Yesterday he had Inner Circle working all day on getting this done. I almost fell over when he told Banks to transfer a billion to Flight Training and make everything happen. Who the fuck has a billion to spare? Banks just nodded like it wasn’t a problem.
I greet the men, give them their temp cards and show them their rooms for now. They’ll have their own building soon. Thank fuck training only has the two classes. I show them around so they can find food and Training then leave them to Mounty and Shultz.
I’m with new As and we hit the market. They react the same way Anton and Allen did. On the way back, I stop at the pizzeria figuring this will be a treat. Akai is excited making me smile. He points to the sandwich he wants and the girl stares then gives them each a paper menu so they can order what they like. Asa points to a meatball sub and I have to help her out. He won’t look at her. “Do you want sausage and meatball or just meatball?”
“Boss.” He points to both and cheese on his paper.
I give her the sandwich and she gives them a weird look. Seren steps up. “Look at you! I’m glad you stopped by, Akai and Asa. You have the menu, that’s good. You can take it home and get the Prospects to pick up your lunch for you. They do it all the time.”
Akai smiles big for her. “Roger, Boss Seren.”
She laughs edging the girl to the side. “Are they getting meals?”
I nod. “I’ll have the Italian regular in a meal too. Thanks, Seren.”
I give her my card. “I’m so happy to see them here with you. You might want to get the others sandwiches. We can make a platter for them and I’ll have a Prospect deliver it. They like all different ones, but can’t eat a whole sandwich.”
