“No, we’ll be late and you look delicious.”

I laugh and walk with her since she took my hand and turned us. “You’re hungry, aren’t you?” I throw chin to the Prospect. He’s watching Freedom making it a wasted gesture.

“Yeah. I did assessments during lunch so I’d be out early.”

Shit. “We could have done this another night.”

She stops at my bike. “We could have, but then we wouldn’t have the ride and dinner tonight. It gave me time to tease the fuck out of you with the dress and I brushed my hair out.”

I throw my leg over and put my hand out. “Thanks for the ride, dress and hair.”

Taking my hand, she laughs. “It was ten minutes. I went to check in with Lorelei and Daniel.”

I swing my head starting the bike and throwing a thanks to whoever for blue tooth. “Shouldn’t have told me that either. I was picturing a long bath, bubbles, shaving and primping.”

“You can picture every bit of it. It will happen at some point, but honesty is important to me. You need to see the real me, that happens with the honest.” She’s right.

“Thanks for that too. Still like my picture of you soaking in the bubble bath.”

She laughs, but my thoughts are on her and Victory’s differences. Freedom is understated but has the height, full lips, light coffee-colored skin and almost blond hair. It’s thick, curly and long. Her eyes are dark but get a light to them when she’s focused on what’s being said. I think of them as fiery and like the way they change from the dark chocolate brown to lighter. She’s smart and owns her attitude proudly. I can relate and I’m impressed by that. She’s never going to be fragile, whiny, clingy or sickly sweet. Another plus in my book.

I laugh when I see Cort getting off his bike. An Enforcer Team is here with him and Victory is getting out of the car on the side of them. “We should have gone to C,” Freedom says.

Victory is screeching as she walks our way. “Looks like you made her night. I’m good and you need to eat.” I squeeze her hand and kiss those lips that keep me dreaming of more than dinner.

With a swing of her head, she smiles and turns to her sister. “Glad you’re at this one.” Freedom surprises me. Her face and eyes show amusement. I’m glad she’s not pissed. Victory hugs her like they haven’t seen each other in weeks.

Seren laughs. “Only because I thought you’d go to our normal place in town C.”

Cort hits my back. “Let’s do dinner. Raid and Lorelei are babysitting. He wouldn’t let Caelan go before we left and it was my turn. I’ll get him while they do the class.” He has to have a turn?

Swinging my head, I follow everyone into our dinner for two. It is just not my night.
