I turn toward Vapor who is looking at Jones with raised eyebrows. He doesn’t say a word and she hits his arm, then smiles Cort’s way. “Same name. He had the choppers painted and registered under SOAR.” Jones shakes his head in a way that I think he’s trying to tell her something.
Cort nods for Alder. “Use SOAR. They need gear and everything that goes with Club in a Club. We need Club and Ops there, compounds for VIP, their kid bunkhouses included in there.”
Alder puts a hand up but keeps typing with one hand. “Transition housing. How many bed? Separate kid to Club member?”
Cort watches Vapor. She looks resigned then straightens her posture and answers with the military decisive manner.
She’s on it. I don’t know why I’m here but I like knowing what is going on and pay attention. “For transition, I’d say 30. We have 20 but added cots for the four over we brought back. It would give rooms we have to training other crews. Close to the hangar and trainees eat with crews. Kids need separate kitchen-living room and activity area like the small pool.”
Cort laughs with Aylen’s thumbs up. “She liked my Bible without the Club side and knows how to cover her shit, Boss. Training and the Ops jobs will cover them. She’s got other job procedures that she called protocols for assist of elite. It’s not anything I knew and I wouldn’t mind training for it. I think my dad would pay for that training for his Elite Club.”
My eyes bounce right to Justice as he nods. “I want it too, Boss. They have steps they take for everything. The rescue in Java would have taken half the time, Brothers and money. Aship as a base can carry the choppers and even jets. It would save millions and serve every Club.”
“Ships now?”
I watch Raid and smile. His elbow is on the table and hand is holding his head up as he watches Cort. Aylen and Mase laugh. Putam is hiding his.
Keylan is nodding so I watch him. “We had Night Stalkers and they’d get us on a carrier for medical, weather issues or to decompress. It was a couple of days if we needed it before being dropped back on base, or to the next build/rescue job. They didn’t stay but I saw their Chinooks and Little Birds. The Blackhawks blended or I didn’t know which was which. I assumed they based off the ship.”
Vapor has her eyes locked on him.
“Commander Stone,” Jones tells her.
Vapor nods with recognition finally dawning. “I was in the Little Bird. The Marine you sent me got the onboard racks secured and said he was Racks.”
The Rescue VP, Keylan, smiles. “He’s at the Club with Anchor. They’re still building everything we use.”
“They were young, if I could have, I’d have taken them both.”
“Not a chance now, Commander. They both took my name.” He points to Alder. “LP named them.”
She smiles but doesn’t ask. I would, as a matter of fact, I will now it’s been mentioned here.
“So, everyone, get the Club in a Club work done. Alder will get you the name and their logo. Justice?” Cort keeps moving forward. Badass is just in his DNA or something.
Vapor leans over looking at Jones but doesn’t say a word.
“I got the IT this time. That’s chat, schedules, virtual classes, hologram, apps and training fill-in-the-blank for aerial ops. I’ll get the protocol steps or whatever they call it for me and a copy to Asa. They need an Op room hooked to the satellite.” Justice does everything like Alder.
“Circuit Crew schedule, parts, server building now, IT work order to satellites upload, I have. What Ineed, background to SOAR member, Security to Alpha-Bits. I write chats to Pres Vapor Kwolek. Pres Justice send chat, links to Badass. VP Keylan need preference to building color, style, special item need. He use Rescue training to build bunkhouse, compound, common room, anything you need. Pres Falcon need date you open, Prospect number.” Alder drops his hologram down. “I send all to you chat.”
“How did you get my chat?” Vapor asks with a smirk.
“Ford Brother have skillz.”
We all laugh at the Blackhawk line.
Vapor nods. “Can you send me the chat and explain what chat is?”
I jump on that. “I can explain and get the app on her phone.”
Justice slides a phone to me. “This is hers with the app on it. It’s on our satellite. I’ll get Jones set up before the kid meet is done. Akai has twenty phones, tablets, the hologram workstations and the cameras for virtual on a truck at the ABSZ. Alpha will transport when it’s loaded.”
I nod for him and swipe her phone. It shows her name so I shut it down and look back at Cort.
He nods. “This is the kid meet now. Alder and Justice will have the Club in a Club work covered. He’s got it on a hologram and everyone has the link. I know because I just got it.”
I raise a hand. “Am I needed here?”
