I know who they belong to.

By the time we reach the lake, a bonfire is already blazing. Music pulses around us, and people are already hooking up, seemingly unaware or maybe just uncaring of their audience.

I want that!

I never had anything like that before, and PDA was never Blake’s thing. At least, it wasn’t when he was with me. He wouldn’t even hold my hand or hold me whenever his friends were around.

Fuck that guy and his pencil dick. I guess he’s Molly Akers’ problem now.

All I ever wanted was to feel desired, and not like I was a fucking side-piece.

I am the main event. Period.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to be owned or anything, but I’d like everyone to know that I have a man. And for my man to stake his claim so no other fucker tries to come at me with the hope of getting a sliver of my attention.

I want to be chased and dominated.

I want to submit to a man’s control, but only because I know that he will keep me safe. I want someone I can trust, who will never hurt me, and for everyone to know that I am the most important thing in his whole fucking life.

But tonight? I want to be the fire that sparks through his veins until he’s addicted to the burn.

Whoever he is.

Even if they’ll never be who I truly want.

FOUR

KALE

Jackson stands at my side while Reign leans against a nearby tree, surveilling the party. From the minute we showed up, we had every girl's attention on us, as usual. Whenever their polo-wearing ass boyfriends aren’t around to watch them get fucked, they circle the three of us like vultures, fiending for a taste of the bad boys. Then they run along, back to their boyfriends, playing the doting girlfriend with hearts in their eyes.

As much as I don’t blame them for their attraction to us, it isn’t the attention of these bitches that we want. There is onlyonegirl we came here for, and she’s currently standing by the edge of the bonfire looking hot as fuck beside her best friend.

River Morgan is good people, and we like herbecause she isn’t a thirsty fucking bitch like everyone else around here. She looks out for Savannah, and that means something to us.

One night, while at our parents' house for the holidays, we overheard them having one of those girly, deep and meaningfulconversations.

It wasn’t like we meant to eavesdrop, River is just a little on the clamorous side, making it way too fucking easy for us to listen.

When she told Savannah not to hold back where we’re concerned, at first, we were all a little stunned. Not stunned that Savannah had a thing for us, that was so fucking obvious. We were shocked that River didn’t care that we were her best friend’s stepbrothers, which was the only reason we’ve held back from claiming our girl all these years.

While Savannah might have had it bad for us, Jax included, this thing we feel for her is beyond somelittle crush. She’s the sky wrapped in starlight, designed to be worshipped.

Mine.

Ours.

And we’ll make her see galaxies she never fucking knew existed.

Yes, we’re all wearing masks tonight, and there’s a chance she won’t know it’s us when we finallytake what’s ours, but we’ll make sure we ruin her for any other motherfucker either way. Because the truth is, we were made for each other, and I know that she knows it, too.

“It’s time,” I announce to the guys as Savannah turns away from the fire and starts walking into the woods.

Silly girl.

She has no idea that she’s about to be hunted and owned by us in mere minutes, and I can’t fucking wait to finally claim what’s always been mine.

Both Reign and Jax swing their gazes to me and nod. “Let’s go get our girl,” Reign growls, and I don't miss the hunger swirling around his gravelly tone.
