My mouth became dry.
“Never again, will ye’ hide ye’re beautiful eyes.” His deep timber was so low the vibration caused me to shiver, my stomach clenched in a new feeling.
“But you said–”
“I know what I said, and I was wrong. Ye’ don’t hide. No’ from anyone. Ye’re a Dark Witch. My Dark Witch.”
Fuck me I was feverish.
But he was right; why was I hiding? Was it time I stopped with my ‘show them nothing, give them nothing and expect nothing?’
Maybe it was time to show the world, or worlds, just who I really was.
Show them who Amaya really was.
This man was fine. There was no denying that. No man or boy had ever made me react this way before. But maybe, just maybe this new me liked to explore this deep wanton need the dragon man brought out in me. You could explore your sexuality without it becoming something further, couldn’t you?
I could have my fun, sate this burn that was building low in my stomach and walk away once I was back in the human realm, right?
I breathed in slowly and ever so softly placed my hand on his hard stomach, the muscles bunching under my hand as his breath hitched.
The dark corridor heated.
His eyes brightened further.
I ran my tongue along my dry lips. His chest rumbled as his eyes fixed on my mouth, his head lowered.
“Rí, are you coming?” The blond barmaid asked as she slammed open the double swinging doors.
His head snapped up with a low warning growl. I sighed and lowered my hand back down. He growled again, grabbed that same hand and pressed it back to his stomach.
I wanted to smirk at the woman, yet I kept my face neutral.
“No.” Rí growled his answer to her, and I took delight in the way her face tightened before she narrowed her eyes at me and walked back into the bar.
“I don't think I like her,” I stated, leaving out the fact I actually didn't like anyone.
His chest rumbled with a low chuckle, brushing against my chest and causing a delicious tingle to spread through my hardening nipples.
His chuckle took me by surprise. I hadn't heard him laugh yet, only his deep grumbles and angry roars. It didn't displease me as I thought.
I pushed my hand against his stomach until he took a step back. I brushed my hands along the baggy borrowedshorts I still wore and walked into the bar with my head high and a grumbling dragon at my back.
A few elderly men sat at the bar with half full glasses and raised them with an incline of their head to Rí before they noticed me in front of him.
Their eyes widened.
Rí guided me to an empty stool beside the men, who still had not spoken but openly stared at my eyes.
“Rí, are you and your friend gunna help me tonight? It’s nearly our busy hour,” Cece said as she sidled up beside us. Her tight deep purple top cut low, revealing a pair of breasts squished together so tightly it looked as though it hurt.
“Nae, just a quick drink before my Mate and I take a stroll.”
Her mouth flopped open, and her eyes swung to my own. Her brows lowered slightly before she beamed, did a little jump so her breasts bounced and threatened to spill from her obviously too small top and threw her arms around my dragon's shoulders.
My dragon? I meant the dragon.
“Oh my Fates Above. That's incredible.” She smiled wide, her white teeth going together with an audible snap, just as she happened to put her eyes back to me.
