"He snuck out last night after Xander and Matt left." Carter reached for his drink. "We have a meeting tomorrow night with everyone to go over what happened."

Beau nodded. "I'll be here." He glanced at Lisa. "Text Faith later and see if she's coming. If so, you two can come too. You'll just have to hang out downstairs while we talk for a bit."

Lisa nodded.

"You should go home and get some rest." Carter pointed at Beau with his fork.

"We'll head out after we finish eating. I want to check on Bry on more time and let Becca know what he can have for pain. I'll be back by later tonight to check in." He glanced at Parson, hating that what he'd hoped to be a long weekend together was not going to happen.

Parson smiled. "I'll make sure he sleeps."

"It's about time someone was around to take care of him." Carter smiled.

Beau wasn't going to argue. It was well past time he had someone like Parson in his life. He just hoped that with everything that happened, it hadn't caused him to hesitate about the relationship. What happened to Bryon was an upfront, in your face reminder of how serious things could get.

Thirty minutes later, they were all packed in the car and headed home. He'd let Parson drive, not even arguing when he'd asked for the keys. He was too tired, and with the kids in the car, there was no way he'd put them in danger.

"I was hoping for a relaxing weekend." Beau closed his eyes, leaning his head back on the car seat. "But I'm going to sleep this afternoon away, then I have a shift tomorrow night at the hospital."

"It's the life you signed up for, and you know if you weren't so tired right now, you wouldn't have it any other way." Parson glanced over at him.

"The hospital called me six times last night, but I ignored them. I've never done that before. I knew they would with that many patients coming in, but I just couldn't stop what I was doing to let them know I was busy. Hopefully, they remember I had the charity event and figured I was just busy with that." He tried not to feel guilty. The hospital had other nurses and doctors trained to help the kids.

"You were where you needed to be. Family first, right?" Parson reached over and rested his hand on Beau's leg.

"Right." Beau needed the reminder.

"You're overthinking things. You're tired. Tomorrow we can talk about everything, but right now, let's get you home to bed. The kids and I will hang out while you nap."

Beau shook his head. He needed time with Parson. He was so worried that he'd seen things last night he couldn't deal with. "You didn't sleep much either. Stay with me. I got a text that Warren is home. He'll be with the kids."

"Sure, I told you, I'm yours for the weekend." Parson pulled into Beau's driveway.

Once they got out of the car, the kids ran inside, both excited to talk to Warren and tell him all about the game room where they'd spent the night. Beau could only imagine what Warren would think. He turned to Parson. "You okay?"

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Parson took his hand and led him inside.

"It was a lot to see last night. I didn't want you touched by that part of my life, not like that."

"It didn't touch me. Yes, I saw the darker side of what you do, but I also saw how talented and wonderful you are. You're a doctor, you saved a life last night. That just makes me respect and want you more." Parson stopped in the kitchen. "It didn't scare me away, Beau. If anything, it made me realize how much good the team does. You guys saved a ton of kids last night. Put a stop to a huge sex trafficking operation, and you did it knowing the dangers."

"You're really okay with it?" Beau asked.

"More now than I was before. I guess meeting everyone, seeing that you aren't some careless fools, hearing how detailed everything is, it helped ease my mind. Carter was explaining how much research goes into most of these things. You guys make sure you're as safe as you can be." Parson smiled. "But, it also showed me how careless you were when you went in alone the night you got Albert, and for that, I should spank your ass."

"That's my punishment?" Beau's cock stirred, but he was too tired to pay it much attention.

"I could withhold sex for a month." Parson laughed.

"No, a spanking works." Beau laughed. "But not today. I'm too tired." He glanced around, seeing no one but them. "Goodnight kids, behave for Warren," he called.

Warren rushed into the room. "We're going to a movie so you two can rest. We'll have dinner ready for you when you wake up."

"Thanks, Warren. I owe you." Beau was so grateful he had such a good support team for the kids.

"Nah, you pay me well enough." Warren waved. "Sweet dreams."

Beau led Parson upstairs and to his room. Shutting the door, he started to strip, glad to get off the scrubs he'd put on earlier. "You aren't going to hate me if I'm too tired to do more than kiss you before I crash, are you?"
