"Bye." Beau hung up and quickly called Carter back with the name.

"What you got?" Carter didn't even bother with a hello.

"Used to work for CPS. Fired for sexual harassment." Beau went on to tell him the name and the information he had.

"That's great. We'll start running the information now. Hopefully, we can get a couple of these guys later this week. I'm not sure how fast we can act. I know Bryon had stings planned for Wednesday and Thursday already."

"We have to get kids out of those homes they're in. You said you identified a couple other kids?"

"We did, but there are a bunch we don't have names of. I'm thinking we should print the photos and have you check with your guy and see if he knows the names. I don't want to involve him too closely and have him take the wheel and try and save the kids before we can get to the adults, but we need names to find out locations." Carter was typing loudly on the computer as he spoke.

"I work tomorrow, but Parson is dropping by the hospital so I can sign some papers. I'm going to drop by and grab those photos from you guys tonight so I can show him tomorrow. I don't want to prolong this any longer than we have to."

"That works. I'll hack into the CPS files and run facial recognition on them, but that's going to take time. The more information we have to give Bryon when the team gets back, the better. Bring food for Trenton and me. We're starving."

"I'll grab some burgers on my way. I'll see you in an hour." Beau hung up, made sure he had his wallet, and headed out the door. As much as he hated that they'd found more kids being abused in the videos, he was ecstatic that they had a chance to help them now. It wouldn't take more than a week to get into each home, and once they did, the kids would be safe.

Well, as safe as they could be, still stuck in the system.

As he pulled out on the road, he wished there was a way he could give them all a home.

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

"I have food," Beau called as he walked into the STK house. It was oddly quiet with everyone gone. He was used to having Bryon greet him at the door.

"Leave it and come down the hall," Trenton called back.

"You got something?" Beau dropped the food on the table and headed to the computer room. He found Carter and Trenton both working side-by-side, typing faster than he could ever dream of. "What's up?"

"Followed the name of that guy your friend identified. Sure enough, he's a nasty one. We managed to find several more videos of him as well. All of him with young boys below the age of ten. We were hoping to get into his systems, but once we located his address, we found everything disconnected. A further search turned up plane tickets to Michigan." Carter swiveled his chair to face Beau.

"Shit, for when?" Beau's chest tightened.

"Nine tomorrow morning," Trenton said as he continued to type on his keyboard.

"Fuck." Beau shook his head. "Can we get him when he comes back?"

"Give me a sec." Trenton sounded agitated.

"What's up?" Carter turned back around, looking at the monitor Trenton was working on.

Beau glanced at it, scared of what he might see. He'd learned years ago never to look at the computer screens in this room. What he saw usually gave him nightmares for days.

Thankfully, it was just a bunch of information on the screen, not pictures or videos. "What is it?"

"It doesn't look like he's coming back. He was hired at a place in Michigan." Carter sighed.

"Fuck, not just any place. He got a job at a school." Trenton pointed to the screen. "Elementary school. He'll have access to hundreds of children."

Beau shook his head. "We have to get him before he leaves."

"We can't. The whole team is gone. They won't be back until tomorrow night. I'm picking them up at the airport." Carter stood. "We'll have to find a way to track him and fly out and get him. He's one we can't ignore."

"You have a video of him with my kids?" It was the first time he'd called Lisa and Jeff his, and he liked the way it sounded.

"You don't want to see it," Trenton warned.

"No, I don't, but it means you've got evidence, right? If the team was here, we could do this tonight?" Beau stared at the men in front of him.
