After grabbing a bottle of water, Beau headed up to the medical room. He kept it well stocked and clean, but he liked to come in once a week at least to check on things and make sure his medications and other things were in order.

The room didn't get much use luckily, but he kept it ready for anything. He smiled as he looked around, seeing Faith had been in and done an inventory of what they were getting low on. The clipboard sat on the small desk he used, and she had signed it with a heart.

He loved that girl so much.

As he looked down the list of items he needed to order, he thought about Lisa and Faith's friendship. It was growing stronger, and he was glad the two of them had each other to lean on. Faith had always had her fathers and the team, but to have someone her own age, another person who had experienced the things she had been through, had to make a difference in her life. He was sure it was why Lisa was having such an easy time adapting.

Jeff, on the other hand, wasn't doing as well. He woke up a couple of times a week with nightmares, and Lisa would either bring him back to her bed or stay with him in his. Beau had offered to stay with him, but Lisa wanted the responsibility, and even though Jeff wasn't scared of him, he didn't feel that he was completely comfortable yet either. Counseling sessions twice a week helped, but it was going to take time more than anything to help him get over what happened in his past.

"Beau?"

He turned to find Matt standing in the doorway. "Hey."

"Sorry to bother you. I just wanted to let you know, Carter ran that guy's name as soon as Trenton gave him the information, located his new address, and I think we've hit paydirt. Looks like he owns a small ranch just outside of the city. It's secluded and from what I can tell, well-guarded, at least from a technology standpoint. He has cameras everywhere. Carter hacked into the camera feeds and we found he's holding at least ten kids in a room in the basement. They all look young, maybe under ten. Mostly boys, but there were a few girls." Matt leaned against the door. "Carter's digging for all the info he can get, and we'll talk to Bryon as soon as he gets back."

Beau didn't know whether to be ecstatic they'd found something or pissed off and angry that there were more kids being held. "Condition?"

"They are thin, but don't look like they are injured, but you know as well as I do, not all injuries are visible." Matt sighed. "The cameras also show guns around the house, but at the moment, there weren't a lot of adults. We only found three, but that doesn't mean there aren't more. Carter's hacking into the computer systems there to see what they've been doing online, but we both know what he's probably going to find."

"Yeah, he's either filming pornography or has ads out to sell time with the kids." Beau's head started to ache. "How soon can we—"

"You know I can't answer that. It's not my call. Carter has to do recon on the place and Bryon has to give the go-ahead. It could be hours, it could be days." Matt shook his head. "I hate that we can't seem to put a stop to this. If anything, the problem is growing."

Beau sat down in his chair, resisting the urge to go downstairs and see what Carter was finding. He didn't want to see it. Didn't want to risk seeing the camera focused on the kids. He couldn't handle that. He'd want to go blazing in tonight if he saw them. "Keep me posted?"

"I will." Matt gave him a weak smile before turning and heading out of the room.

Beau sighed, wondering how long they'd have to leave the kids there now that they knew about them. He understood that they had to get the evidence in order before going in, but it was so hard to know kids were being abused and not be able to do anything about it right away.

Xander and Dyson were going out on a sting in a few hours, so that meant nothing would happen tonight. A place that big, and with that many adults and children on site, would take the whole team. There was no way they would do anything in the next day or so. Something like this took planning.

This was why he seldom involved himself in the actual cases. He was here for medical backup only. Knowing was too hard, waiting even harder.

Totally distracted now, he left the medical room and headed back downstairs. He walked into the kitchen just as Bryon came through the door, carrying bags of groceries.

"You got more out there?" Beau asked.

"Nope, this is it." He set them on the counter. "What are you doing here in the middle of the day?"

"Came to check over the medical room."

"You could have done that anytime. You okay?"

Beau shrugged as he started to put things away. "Had the day off, the kids are in school, Parson is at work. Guess I didn't have anything else to do with myself."

"So you come here instead of relaxing?" Bryon raised a brow.

"I had some info for Carter about the CPS cases. In fact, they've found stuff, big stuff you'll need to deal with shortly."

"How big?"

"Matt said ten kids on a small compound."

Bryon nodded. "And you're calm about this?"

"Not a bit, but what can I do? I know we can't run in and rescue them blind." Beau tossed the grocery bag into the trash. "I'll just try and distract myself with the fundraiser while you guys work out the stuff here."

"That's this Friday, isn't it?" Bryon asked.
