"Parson. Don't you worry about who is here. We have to get you fixed up, then you can start bossing everyone around again," Trenton told him.

"I told them I'm fine," Bryon argued.

"You've lost a shitload of blood and you're still bleeding. Shut up and let us get you to Beau." One of the other men glared at Bryon as they headed up the stairs.

Parson waited until they'd gone up, then followed Matt and Trenton up the steps. He paused in the hallway, trying not to notice the trail of blood that dripped from Bryon's shoulder. He could barely see inside the room until everyone else clustered around a hospital bed. As Parson moved to the doorway, he was shocked to see Faith and Beau both dressed as if going into surgery.

"Faith, start an IV. The rest of you get out," Beau yelled.

"Where is he?" A female came up from behind Parson, shoving past him as she ran into the room.

"Becca, you shouldn't be in here." One of the men reached for her.

"I'm not leaving him. They didn't make Matt leave when it was you in here, Xander. Don't baby me because I'm a girl." She pushed closer until she could lean over the bed. "Shit, what happened?"

The tattooed man she called Xander pulled her back a few inches. "Give him room to work. Bryon took a bullet to the neck and shoulder. It doesn't look deep, but it's bleeding heavily."

"I'm fine," Bryon whispered.

"I said everyone but Becca and Faith out," Beau yelled.

Parson stepped back as the group moved to the hallway. He was shocked as he still stared into the room, watching as Faith stuck a needle into Bryon's hand as if she'd been doing it all of her life. Beau was focusing on Bryon's neck, slowly moving the shirts away.

Xander closed the door, blocking his view from anything more.

"Okay guys, you know the drill. Go get cleaned up," one of the other guys said.

"Parson, you any good at making coffee?" Matt asked.

"I think I can manage." He followed Matt and Trenton downstairs. The rest of the guys seemed to head to other rooms in the hallway.

Overwhelmed with what he'd seen, he headed into the kitchen.

"I need to get back to the computers, but coffee is in that cupboard. The guys will probably go through a lot. You might have to make more. Once I make sure I'm not needed, I'll come back and join you."

"Do what you need to. I'm okay. I'll start the coffee and check on the kids downstairs." Parson didn't want to be a nuisance.

"Thanks." Matt smiled. "We'll talk later. Faith's talked a lot about you."

"She's an amazing girl." Parson smiled.

"She is." Matt grinned. "I'll be back as soon as I can."

Parson got busy making coffee, then headed down the steps to the room where Beau had sent the kids. He wasn't surprised when he walked in to find Jeff sound asleep on one of the beanbags, and Lisa watching some movie as she fought to keep her eyes open on the couch.

"Hey." He sat down beside her. "You okay?"

"Yeah, how're things upstairs?" Lisa stretched.

"Beau's in doctor mode right now. I hope they'll be okay. Faith is helping him. Are you okay? Need anything?"

She shook her head. "I'll probably fall asleep."

"Okay, if you need anything, come on up to the kitchen. We'll come wake you when we're ready to go, but it might be a while." He was impressed with how calm she was.

"It's okay. Faith told me a little bit about this place. Jeff was a little scared, but I calmed him down and told him that a friend of Beau's was hurt and needed help. He played a few games, then fell asleep." Lisa smiled as she looked over at her brother. When she looked back at Parson she asked, "did they get the bad man this time?"

"I think so, but I haven't heard. They were too busy making sure everyone was safe to talk about it. I'm not sure they'll say much in front of me anyway. Like you, I only know a little bit."
