"Okay." Lenora wiped her eyes and took the bag. She paused a second, looking back at Becca. "Thank you for saving me."

Becca smiled. "You're welcome." Her heart nearly burst at the words. Other than Faith, she never got to talk to the kids they helped. Hearing a simple thank you meant the world to her. She had to wonder how many kids were out there in the world now, living safe, normal lives because of what the team did. They'd never kept count, but she knew they'd saved hundreds of children.

She smiled as she gathered Matt and Xander's things. It wasn't often she thought about everything they'd done over the years. They'd had a lot happen and seen the worst the world had to offer at times, but they'd also done their part in making it a safer place. As she peeked under the bed to make sure nothing had fallen under it, she thought more about what Lenora had said. Were there people who would take her in? A family friend who wasn't contacted? She would find out. If the police hadn't taken the time to do their job, she would do it for them. She just hoped it wasn't too late to find the information she needed.

CHAPTER SIX

Bryon leaned against the desk in Beau and Preston's room as he looked over the men sitting around. He'd just given them a rundown on everything Lenora had told them about what had happened to her. "I've arranged for us to move to a house about ten minutes from here. A friend of mine has a home here he isn't using at the moment. We've got the place as long as we need it. It's secure and we'll be able to use his vehicles to get around if we need to." He wasn't about to tell them who owned the home. They'd find out soon enough. "When we leave here, I will have three cars waiting for us out front. Xander, I want you with me, Becca, and Lenora in one car. As we walk out, I want us to circle around the women, keeping them out of sight the best we can. I have no doubt that the men who held Lenora are canvasing the hotel and if they don't already know what rooms Becca and Faith are in, it's only a matter of time. Any one of us could hack into the hotel's system in minutes. I have to believe these men have the same capabilities."

"I've got Dyson and Jeremy working the case now. I've sent them what we know and just forwarded the image of the tattoo to them. Hopefully, by the time we get set up at the new place, they'll have some information for us. I've also got them looking into Lenora's family. I find it hard to believe her parents didn't have a will or some kind of plan in the event they died. Especially if there is no other family to step up. They would have had something planned," Carter said.

"The tattoo is the key." Noam set his phone on the coffee table. "It will tell us who we're dealing with."

"Jeremy is running the images Faith got of the men through the system now as well, but since we've only got side profiles, we might not get anything from them. At least they are good enough to let us know who we are watching for." Matt sighed. "I could kill Faith for putting herself in this situation."

"I feel the same way." Bryon shook his head. "I know they did what they had to, and I respect they had no choice, but damn it, when I think about what could have happened." His hand tightened into a fist at his side as he imagined Faith and Becca taken by the two men. They would have killed them, or worse, sold them to someone who would kill them slowly. He couldn't yell at them for doing exactly what the rest of the team would have done. "Luckily, they were successful. Now we just have to keep them safe as we get out of the hotel. And once we are at the safe house, I don't want the girls leaving the grounds for anything. If they need something, they either order it and have it delivered, or they send one of us out for it." He couldn't get Becca and Faith out of Vegas soon enough.

Bryon brushed his fingers through his hair, wondering how a simple trip to get married had ended up in such chaos. Hadn't they faced enough in the past? Couldn't his wedding go peacefully?

"Any chance you've got connections to get guns?" Kasey asked.

"There will be a few available at the safe house, but I have no idea how many. I'll look into it once we get settled. There is a twenty-four-hour security team at the home we're going to. I'm going to keep them there, but be cautious about what you say around them. I'll let you know the story I give them once we're there. For the most part, they'll be there to keep people off the property and help us make sure the girls don't leave."

"Becca and Faith aren't going to like this," Xander smirked.

"Then they shouldn't have gotten into this mess," Bryon snapped. Then realizing how he sounded, he took a deep breath. "They did the right thing. I know that. It's just that I can't stop thinking about the danger they put themselves in. We're trained for this. They aren't."

Matt nodded. "I'm not happy with my daughter right now, but at the same time, she did save Lenora. We can't ignore that. They did exactly what we would have done. They'll never forgive us if we hold it against them. We've always included them as team members and today they have proved they are just as strong and able as we are."

Carter nodded. "They remained calm and got the job done. They're safe. That's all that matters."

"Safe but wanted," Bryon reminded them. "We can't forget every trafficker in the city will be on the lookout for Faith and Becca once they get security footage of them from the hotel's system. Again, just keep them on the property once we get to the safe house. The place is big enough that they won't get bored. Besides, I'm hoping to have this cleared up in a few days at most." He glanced at his phone to see the time. "Okay, cars will be down front at nine. Everyone meet in Matt and Xander's room about ten minutes before. We'll get the luggage down first, then I want us all to walk as a group out to the cars. Again, I want to keep the girls in between us so they aren't seen, but also keep things looking as casual as possible. You guys know what to do. Watch that we aren't being followed as we leave. If anyone sees us being trailed, call the others. We don't go to the safe house until we're sure it's clear. Follow the lead car." He shoved his phone into his pocket. "Go pack. I'll call Trenton and Ben and let them know what's going on." He pushed away from the desk and headed out of the room.

He pulled his keycard out of his pocket and slid it into the lock, waiting for the green light before pushing the door to Faith's suite open. He'd had so many fantasies about being alone with Becca in their suite for the next few days. Now he would be lucky to get ten minutes of her time. "All packed?" He forced a smile when he saw Faith, Becca, and Lenora sitting on the couch together. They all had their hair tied back in ponytails and Faith and Lenora wore baseball caps. Becca had a large scarf around her neck he hoped she'd pull over her hair when they left.

Becca nodded to the stacked luggage. "It's all there."

"Good. I just wanted to check in before I go pack up our suite. Do you guys need anything?" He walked over to Becca and ran his fingers through her hair before leaning down to give her a soft kiss.

"We're good. I'm making a shopping list of things Lenora is going to need. Figured I'd send Dad out later to pick stuff up. She's going to need some clothes and bathroom items." Faith set the notepad down on the table. "Everything okay out there?"

Bryon nodded. "Quiet so far. The cars to take us to the new place will be here at nine. Be ready." He smiled at Lenora. "Are you okay?"

She nodded but didn't say anything. He couldn't blame her for being nervous around him after what the other men had done to her. He hoped in time she'd warm to him and the other guys. Not that he hoped she'd be with them for a long time. Once he figured out if she had family or friends, he'd pass her to them. If there wasn't anyone else, he'd figure out what to do. If the foster system here had already sold her off to the traffickers, he'd take her back to California to people he could trust. Of course, he had to find her brother first. He couldn't worry about that now. He had to get the team safe first and foremost, then he'd slowly work through the other things they needed to do. "Good. You let the girls know if you need anything. Make sure you tell them your favorite food too, so we have it around."

"Okay." Lenora glanced at Faith and smiled before leaning against her.

Becca stood. "What can I help with?"

"Nothing yet. Just be ready to go. The Denver team is already working on this. Hopefully, we can get all the info we need tonight and have a plan for tomorrow. My priority is finding her brother and reuniting them." Bryon figured that could be the hardest part of what he needed to do. If the brother was still at the foster home, he'd have to all but kidnap him to get him away. If he'd been taken by traffickers as Lenora had, he'd be lucky to find him at all.

"Let us help you where we can, okay? Don't keep us in the dark on this one." Becca hugged him.

"I won't, but you're going to be helping Lenora and that's more important than any other job." He kissed her. "Put gummy bears on that list, would you? I think I'm going to need some."

"Cinnamon?" She rolled her eyes.

"Of course. Is there any other kind?" He stole one more kiss. "I'm so in love with you."
