"Always," Xander promised before looking at Bryon. "We'll call before we go in and once we're out. Then again, once we've disposed of everything. Don't panic when it takes a while. We're in the middle of the desert and it's going to take a bit to get to a dump site."

Bryon sighed. "I know. I've heard the plan. Just watch your back and let Kacey drive so you don't get a ticket."

Xander winked and walked out of the room.

Bryon sighed. All he could do now was wait. Needing to distract himself, he left the others in the room and headed back to his bedroom. Once there, he closed the door, pulled out his phone, and called Becca.

"Hey, my love," Becca's soft voice answered sounding wide awake despite the late hour.

"I'm glad you're up." He kicked off his shoes and sat down on the bed.

"Of course. We're as nervous here as I'm sure everyone is there. Trenton and Ben are on the computers watching the area the best they can and listening to the scanner feeds they can access," she explained.

"How are the kids?" Bryon closed his eyes.

"Good. They love the game room in the basement. Beau and Parson are bringing their kids over tomorrow to hang out with them. There's a bit of an age difference, but we figure in the game room age doesn't matter. Eric's up and moving around. Katie came over today and talked to all of them. She said she'll be back in a week if they're still here. She wasn't too worried about them. They've been through a lot, and she thinks they still have their guard up. Once they are able to relax is when she worries about them most. Oh, and I have news. I found a friend of Lenora's and Andy's parents in Michigan. She worked with their mom. She's talking to others who were friends with the family and seeing if anyone knows what the parents wanted for their kids should they die. She's supposed to call me back tomorrow night. She was horrified to learn the kids had been placed in foster care."

"Any chance she'll take them?" Bryon asked.

"No, not her. She's a single woman who is struggling to get by, but she said she wasn't very close to Heather. They just were friendly at work and were in the same Bunko group. One of the other girls who played Bunko with them was really close to Heather and should know more. As for Eric, Parson isn't finding much of anything on him. He's still digging, but it looks like his files have been wiped from the system."

"That's not a surprise. I'm guessing all the kids that ended up there were destined to be placed with some group or another. Anything on Geo?"

"His parents signed over their rights to the state when he was taken. He's a ward of the state as of now. His records are there. We have no idea what the plans were for him." Becca sighed.

"Probably move him to the border to run drugs would be my guess or train him to pimp out the girls and raise him up in one of the organizations. I'm hoping I can talk him into leaving the area."

"Me too. There's nothing good for him there," Becca agreed. "How are you holding up?"

"I miss you."

"I miss you too. It's been a while since we've been apart."

"And I don't like it." He closed his eyes, letting the sound of her voice soothe his soul. "I'm hoping we're home by the end of the week."

"How many stings do you have planned?" she asked.

"Two or three. We'll go after the male CPS worker tomorrow. I have to see if we can even get access to Wagstaff or any of the other high rollers. I want them, but I won't put the team at risk. I feel like everything we do here is being recorded. I know there are cameras all over the world, but Vegas is worse. We've collected a lot of information we can pass on to the teams that are better equipped to take on guys like them. Our team was never meant to go after more than the reoffending little guys."

"I agree. I don't want you guys to put yourself at risk. I want you back home, safe and sound."

"I'll be there soon." He sat up as another call beeped through. "I've got to go, that's Xander. I love you."

"I love you too."

Bryon clicked over to Xander's call. "Yeah?"

"STK going in," Xander said before the call ended.

Bryon set his phone down and said a silent prayer to keep his team safe. For now, all he could do was wait and pray nothing went wrong.

CHAPTER NINETEEN

Kacey glanced at Xander as they got out of the car. "Love it when it's quiet." He glanced around the neighborhood, pleased to see there weren't any lights on.

"Let's hope it stays this way." Xander patted his pockets.

They both wore all-black hoodies and pants. With the hoods up over their heads, anyone would take them for criminals. It couldn't be helped. They needed to blend into the night, hide in the darkness.
