Geo didn't look happy but nodded.
"So have you decided on when you'll get married?" Archer asked.
Becca shook her head. "Not yet, but we will. And whenever we decide to do it, we want all of you there. Kids included this time. It won't be for a few months. We'll have to get Faith back here. She's my maid of honor. I can't get married without her."
"We'll let you all know when we decide." Bryon kissed Becca softly. "Right now, I think we all want to get home and relax. It's been crazy and we all need some down time. Go home and don't come back until I call. We can all use a short vacation."
Everyone laughed.
"Figures we need a vacation after taking a vacation. Do me a favor and keep Becca locked up before your next wedding attempt. No more rescuing kids right before you walk down the aisle," Carter teased.
"I'll do my best, but we all know, if there's a child at risk, we'd all step up." Becca stood. "Thanks for all you guys did to help."
As the group slowly left the team house, Bryon checked to make sure computers were shut down and everything was locked up. As he hauled their bags to the trunk of their car, he hoped they could have a quiet week at home without any interruptions. He wanted to make up for the time he and Becca had been apart and remind her that he loved her. The fact she wasn't wearing his ring on her finger yet didn't mean a thing. In time, he'd slide that ring on her hand and make things official. She'd be his with or without the ring, he was sure of that.
Becca slid into the seat beside him. "What a week, huh?" She clipped her seatbelt into place.
He leaned over and kissed her softly. "Every day with you is an adventure. No matter where we are or what we're doing, we do it together. You, my love, are one adventure that I pray never ends. I love you."
"I love you too." She kissed him again.
He had everything he could want in the world sitting right at his side and he would never let her go.
EPILOGUE
Becca sank her toes into the sand and giggled. "I can't believe I'm getting married barefooted."
Beside her, Xander lifted up his own bare foot. "You're on the beach. You can't wear heels in the sand."
"This is so crazy." She peeked out the small curtain from the cabana she was standing in. "Is everyone out there barefoot?"
"Yep, all of them. Even the minister kicked off his shoes to join the fun." Xander ran his hand down his beard. "Do I look okay? I can't have the bride looking better than me."
"Shut up." She swatted his arm. "Maybe I should ask Beau to walk me down the aisle."
Faith brushed a hand down her dress, then handed Tera the basket filled with rose petals. "You two need to focus, we're about ready."
Xander rolled his eyes. "Ready for what? When the music starts, we go out, right?"
"If you hear the music over your bickering," Faith argued. "You ready, Tera?" Faith moved to stand behind the young girl. "When the music starts, you slowly walk out and scatter these along the aisle, then go sit with Parson."
"I will. You look really pretty, Becca. Better than Xander." Tera stuck her tongue out at Xander.
"Maybe I should have worn a dress." Xander played with the tie of his tuxedo.
"I swear, Xander, keep it up and I'm calling Beau in to take over." Becca laughed.
The music started and Tera looked at Faith. "Now?"
"Yep. I'll be right behind you." Faith smiled at Becca. "I'm so excited for you."
"Me too. I almost don't dare believe it's happening." Becca held her bouquet against her chest.
"See you out there." Faith took a deep breath and stepped through the curtain.
Xander offered Becca his arm. "Why did you pick me over Beau?"
"Honestly," Becca laughed. "I drew names out of a hat. I couldn't decide. It was the only fair way to do things. Carter would have been my first choice, but since he's Bryon's best man, I had to pick one of you. I couldn't do it, so I picked names."
